Hunters and the Hunted

Jason just sighed and slowly moved to climb out of the bed.

Indigo leaned against the wall as she watched him.

"Thank god." He told her playfully, stopping her from walking and he kissed her.

Rachel soon stopped moving, tensing up slightly as she gently touched her stomach.

"Of course you're not."

"When I'm with you, probably." She smiled.

Jess watched him and she sighed. "And now you're upset, so you know, I'm going to get dressed and I'm going to go for a walk and if Marion comes after me this time I'm ripping her head off." She warned him, standing up and she slid her clothes on, running a hand through her hair.

"I don't like him but I suppose Cain is easier to talk to..."

Faye laughed quietly in return as she kissed him back.

"Are you okay?" Kai froze as he watched her.

Alarick shrugged. "When compared to everyone else I haven't exactly accomplished anything."

"Are you going to play on my weakness by plying me with shiny things huh?"

"I'm not upset. I'm doing as you suggest and simply listening."

He kissed her deely.

"Kai, give me your hand." She told him, a smile slowly spreading across her face.

"Because you've never really let yourself do anything."

"Hmm...Depends if you think kinky handcuffs are shiny enough." She told him playfully.

"It really doesn't feel like it Death."

Faye leaned into him as she kissed him back, moving to hold onto his shirt.

Kai watched her warily but gave her his hand.

"I've been given no reason to."

Ian laughed. "Not around the kids Scarlet."

"You'll have to forgive me if I do not know how to act appropriately in a relationship considering it has been eons since I was a part of one."

"I thought even after that you would know to listen to someone." She told him before she got dressed and told him she would be going for a walk and warned him not to send anyone after her this time before she left his room and found herself outside of the house.

"Ian, they have no way of knowing what we're talking about."

"Sometimes you don't need a reason to do something, Alarick."

She took his hand and she pressed it to he bump, holding up a finger to say one minute, before he suddenly felt a hard kick.

He pulled her close, soon pinning her playfully against a tree.

"Easier in what way?"

"There is little chance to listen, with the work I do," Death murmured after her, and returned his attention to his work.

"You'd be surprised by how much children retain and ultimately understand."

"I like to be a practical person. I-I don't like doing something without reason, in case it causes harm for someone else. Last time I went off on myself like that, I asked to be separated from Faye and not even a day later we wanted to be connected again. We both know I can't make amazing choices."

Kai relaxed a little, but watched her face more than her bump, to make sure it wasn't painful for her.

"And what's brought this on?" Faye laughed quietly into the kiss, running her hands over his shoulders before wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Cain isn't one for petty arguments. Even if Ian and I hate one another, Cain knows when to talk, rather than fight."

Jess walked through a forest and she suddenly got the fright of her life as Scareth appeared in front of her, and she actually screamed, before she hit her best friend with her fist. "Scareth!"

"He won't be able to understand this, even by Dark Angel standards, he is still too young to know about this sort of thing."

"Admittedly that wasn't one of your best, I agree, but you can make goo ones, you just don't follow them through."

Rachel couldn't keep the smile from her face, eventhough she obviously tried.

"Can't I be playful in a heated kiss with my fiancee?" He whispered rather seductively in her ear.

"And what if he decides to fight you? A lot's happened since the last time you spoke to him."

Death eventually folded the notebook shut, seeming too distracted, turning his head to look at the far wall as if there was something only he could see.

"He's half me." Ian pointed out. "But still, I'd rather not have conversations regarding what we might and might do in the bedroom while the kids are in earshot."

"Because they'll crash and burn just like the others." Alarick shrugged weakly. "I wasn't even going to open the damn thing - " he gestured to the locket. "I did, sure, but that's probably my only choice that I don't regret."

Kai grinned himself, reaching up to cup his free hand around her jaw, kissing her gently.

"Of course you can, but if you keep it up, you're going to get more than a kiss," Faye whispered in return, pressing a kiss next to his ear.

"Then I let Jadon forward and he lets out his aggression. It's a win-win, and when both are tired, then we talk."

Jess was suddenly pinned to a nearby tree. "Ouch, hey!"

Scareth laughed. "Too slow little Lodasia." As predicted Jess tried to kick him, before he let go and she went for him, a battle cry ripping from her lips and when they collided the two began to playfight, rolling around on the floor hitting and kicking each other like toddlers at play.

"I know." Scarlet looked at him and kissed the right side of his temple. "But he can't see in here."

"Then why did you?"

"I like that odds."

"It'll be hard watching you fight with him."

"But he can still probably here so..." Ian moved to take hold of her waist, pushing her gently backwards and following her. "We're going to go downstairs, wait for Jason to get his stupid meeting with Cain over and done with and then...well, whatever takes our fancy."

"Because there was a little thing inside of me that was happy to know I was your son, and it was enough to break the haze."

Faye moved to kiss him, sliding her hands underneath his shirt.

"It won't be, so much as 'him'. And beings of equal age and strength don't tend to hurt one another, more than just get tired while fighting."

"Won't be nice watching you get hit." Indigo frowned as she traced her finger across his cheekbone.

((could say that some one comes looking for scareth and finds them and hurts jess, it could cause a fight and a bit of drama between death and scareth and death and jess))

Scarlet went with him and she made a face at being reminded that his brother was coming.

Rachel smiled and kissed him back.

Sirius looked at him. "Even if we weren't tough biology, you would always have been my son Alarick." Sirius reminded him.

He kissed her back a small noise of content slipping from his lips.

((Looking for Scareth cause they want to, or maybe because they heard he's got Aria, thinks Jess is Aria, and hurts her in an attempt to take her? You know, the injury being enough to incapacitate her but not fatal.))

"Ugh, I know." Ian laughed at her face. "I'm not fond of him either, but Cain hasn't seen Jadon and he's pining."

"It doesn't pain you?" Kai murmured softly.

"Yeah, well, sometimes it just...didn't seen as if I was liked as much of the others because of who and what I was."

Faye leaned up into him to deepen the kiss, running her fingertips gently against his stomach.

"Okay." She leant up on her tiptoes, her lips millimeters from his, almost as if she is going to kiss him, before she just smiles evily. "Make it up to me later."

He moved a hand into her pants.

"Of course you were." Sirius told him.

Faye moaned softly as she lifted a hand to tangle in his hair so she could tug him closer.

"Yeah, well..." Alarick shrugged. "It's in the past now. No bother."

From a short distance away, there was a quiet rustle and then a young man was stumbling into view of Jess and Scareth, looking pleased upon finding them. "Hi, sorry," he interrupted, lifting a hand in apology, other hand casually in his jacket pocket. "Are you Scareth? I was supposed to find a Scareth."

"Maybe it is a hormonal thing, M'not quite sure."

"Well, either way, I like to think you cared this much for my wellbeing before as well."

"Of course I did… I just never had much opportunity to show it."

"To be fair, I'm generally the over protective one."
