More Than This

Marcus had apready been there for an hour, and was making throwing rocks off the side of the cliff, watching them hit off of the outledges.

"No excuses, next time be an hour earlier." Marus sneered sharply, passing her a rock, "Find a spot you think is safe to jump from, drop the rock, see if your right."

"See where the rock is smashing against the ledge. Now imagine that's you, bones would shatter, you might lose limbs. All because you chose the wrong spot to jump off. Try again, do better."

"Wrong. Again."

"Wings out, if you can't fly yet they mustn't be strong enough. You need to focus on the size of them, their weight, how they move. Put them in and out, every time I clap; shift your body with the wind to make it easier."

He clapped his hands, and done so every minute. As tine passed making it faster, clapping every five seconds.

"The wings are controlled by muscles, they aren't just magically attatched; so like any other muscles you have to warm it up before using it. You have to tone them, refine them. No more folding them in, no more folding them in when doing strenous activity from now on until you can use them. You are running, they are out, carrying things they are out: no matter the weather. Understand?"

Marcus put the parachute on himself, "Now, we're both going to jump. If you cant keep yourself up in the air, extend your feathers to slow down your fall and grab onto my arm, I'll handle the rest."

"You have wings sticking out of your back, I don't; it'd be cruel to take the parachute from me." Marcus chuckled, walking over to the edge of the cliff and waiting for her to join him.

"Jump."

He jumped a second after, keeping an eye on her as he free-fell

"Fly! Don't enjoy the fall! The exercise isn't sky diving! Focus!"

He pulled the parachute to slow his own fall, watching her.
