Part of Me and Part of You, Together we make Two

He packed his things away slinging his bag over his shoulder to head to their next class.

She walked to her next class, again a class with him.

He walked alongside her making sure she got there alright.

She walked with him.

He walked her over to her desk.

She smiled at him, sitting at her desk.

Remy returned the smile taking out his things for the class and attempting to pay attention.

She paid attention for a short while.

He focused on his work mostly this being a class he was actually rather good at.

She wasn't as good at this class as he was and so appeared to arrive, the teaching calling her out on it a few times. Said teacher was obvious one who hated kids.

He knew what the teacher was doing and sighed deeply.

Eventually the class was over and as she was about to leave, the teacher called her back a day she sighed.

Remy raised an eyebrow when she was asked to stay behind but he left the room and waited outside in the hall for her.

When they were alone, the teacher was all but screaming at her telling how lame and stupid she was.

Hearing the screaming through the door, Remy flagged down another teacher that happened to be walking by and made him listen to what was happening.

The teacher listened before he opened the door and took Kayla out of the room, bringing her out into the corridor.

Remy wanted to go in and get her but remained in the hall like told.

When she was out of the room, the teacher took both of them to her own classroom as the principle delt with the teacher involved and she sat with Kayla. She was surprised that Kayla had not said anything, she had remained silent throughout, so she left to get her some water and allow for Remy to comfort her.

Remy sat down beside her wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Kayla... are you alright?"

She looked at him and then to the floors "yeah...Do you think I'm stupid?" She asked him after a few minutes. Her voice was quiet, as if she was scared of what his answer would be.

"Stupid? You?" he frowned deeply shaking his head. "No. You know you're smarter than I am, don'tcha?"

"I'm not." She sighed. "He's right, I'm useless, I can't play sports, I can't do math, I can't even do something as basic as walking." She looked to her hand where Pip had joined them, sitting on her lap.

"He's not right. So you can't do math big deal... I'm not good at most subjects."

"At least you can walk."

"That has nothing to do with it. Being able to walk doesn't make me who I am."
