Jace was flat on his face on the bed, one arm hanging off of the side. His mobile was on the pillow next to his head and he was vehemently ignoring it as it buzzed.

((Sorry it took so long for me to post something, I couldn't think of what to put >.<))

Raine knocked on Jace's door lightly, letting herself in a few seconds later and closing the door silently behind her. "You awake?" she asked quietly, quiet enough that if he were actually asleep it wouldn't have woke him.

"I'm awake, yeah." Jace moved to lie on his side, facing her with a slight smile before he sat up.

"I came in earlier to check and you were passed out, I didn't want to wake you," She returned the smile, moving to sit by him on the end of the bed.

"I never heard you come in to be honest. Do you want to sit down or was there something you wanted or needed?"

"I just wanted to see you, check you were okay. That's all."

"I'm perfectly fine. How about you?"

Raine nodded with a small smile. "I'm good."

"Is there anything I can do for you?" Jace silenced his phone as it rang.

"Not really... Am I not allowed to see you without reason?"

Jace blinked before cringing. "Sorry. Sort of running on nothing and automatic responses at the moment." He rubbed his forehead, dropping down to lie on his back. "Someone's been picking off family and senior company members and there have been requests for ransoms and shit, I just assumed you wanted something too. I'm sorry."

Raine shook her head, "It's fine, you've obviously got a lot on your mind. You haven't lost anyone you're close to have you?"

"Selene and Liara. Selene was a cousin, went down with a headshot apparently. Liara was like a sister and could still be alive. Just trying to find her and contain the situation as well." He pressed his hands to his eyes.

Raine frowned, "Anything I can do to help?"

"Thanks for offering but I don't think there is, not without putting yourself in more danger than you already have being associated with me."

"Want me to leave you on your own then, or would you rather I stay?"

"I think I'd rather you stayed."

"It's okay, I'll stay then. Even if my only use is to be of some sort of comfort."

"It makes me feel better knowing that I can see you as well and know you aren't in danger."

"I'm perfectly safe, there's no need to worry about me."
