It took Jason about four days before he came back, not daring to step foot in the house but instead sitting on the front door step. He was shivering and pale, but otherwise looked to be in one piece.

Indigo was heading out of the house, too busy wrapping her coat around her to notice Jason, tripping straight over him and only just managing to not fall. "Was just about to come looking for you..."

"He went back to Italy," Jason mumbled. "I don't know why." He shuddered, twisting his fingers together. "I just woke up there. Half of the main family was dead."

[Phoenix]

"Who did? Jadon or your dad?" Indigo frowned as she moved to sit next to him.

[Fruit-Pastilles]

"Jadon did," Jason said quietly. "I've lost two more seals. I - he - killed half the main family. And now he has the audacity to not even be there? I can't hear him, I don't know where but..." Jason shivered quietly, hunching his shoulders.

"Do you have any idea why he did it?"

[Vampire-Apprentice]

Jess looked at him, slowly and carefully moving to stand.

Rachel looked at him. "There's not, you can;t change my father's mind."

Jason shook his head sharply. "I thought he was going to starve me out."

Death made a sharp downward move of his arm and Faye suddenly stumbled into appearance, swearing roughly.

"Apologies, Faye," Death murmured, "But I require your assistance."

"I thought we were done with all this!"

"I said no such thing." Death pressed the heel of his palm to Faye's forehead and she flinched, eyes widening briefly.

Tuesday shrugged weakly. "I just feel that way sometimes."

"I can try?" Kai offered hesitantly.

[Phoenix]

"Are they the side of the family that were siding with your dad?"

[Fruit-Pastilles]

"They all listen to dad, but that doesn't mean they have to die. Their blood is still on my hands."

"They must have done something for him to do that..."

[Vampire-Apprentice]

"Yeah don't mind me." Jess told them with a roll of her eyes.

"I don't want him to hurt you."

"Or maybe I messed up." Jason shuddered quietly, hunching himself up smaller. "Maybe I shouldn't have let Jadon come out, should have ignored him as long as possible."

"If you can admit to deniability of the situation, you will not be in danger," Faye murmured. "That's why we can't involve you so readily. When do you need me to sort this out? Because I can't just up and disappear without warning, I'm not hurting Rosco like that."

Death pursed his lips, clearly expecting Faye to have gone straight away.

"Honestly, I wonder how you put up with me sometimes," Tuesday sighed, but rolled her eyes to show she'd had enough of that line of talk.

Rachel sighed.

"Don't blame yourself."

"I don't mean to not include you," Death sounded apologetic.

"I'll go when I've told everyone where I'm going." Faye stepped back.

"If I hadn't have been so lax, Jadon wouldn't have gotten out in the first place. This wouldn't be an issue. Instead, I fucked everything up."

"Not everything. You haven't fucked anything up to do with us."

"You have to deal with Jadon sometimes and that's my fault."

"It hasn't ruined us."

"But it might. And I would be the cause of it."

"Well it wont."

"He isn't as obliged to listen to you. This could go horribly wrong."
