After a while, Bonnie had done something so Elijah had one more emotion and he gasped in exhaustion as he wiped a tear from his eyes. "What did you do?"

"I found the memories which would make you so unhappy, you had to show emotion."

Kaida just reached up to wipe some of Elijah's tears away, squeezing his hand comfortingly and whispering, "I'm here, it's okay."

Nate smiled brightly and took Holly from her, holding her gently.

Vanessa watched then, smiling at the both of them. She reached down in her bag and took out a camera, turning off the flash before taking a picture of the two of them together. "Our perfect little Holly." she whispered

"That's all I could unlock Elijah."

Kaida stepped in front of Elijah then and slid her arms around him in a hug, "Keep trying Bonnie," she encouraged. "I'll tell you when it'll be too much for him."

"Mm," Nate hummed softly with a smile, leaning down to kiss the babies forehead gently. "She's perfect."

"I think we should let him rest Kaida, we've been at this for hours."

Holly muffled around a little in her fathers arms, opening her almost white blue eyes and staring up at her father with a yawn.

"One more memory, a happy one this time. Give him some relief." Kaida told her, kissing Elijah's cheek gently and whispering to him. "That'd be nice, hmm? A happy memory."

"Hey pretty girl," Nate whispered.

"Will you be ok Elijah?" Bonnie asked him.

"Do it." Elijah told her.

Holly closed her eyes once more, settling down in her fathers arms. Vanessa leaned over a few seconds later and passed him a bottle so he could feed her.

"I'm right here," Kaida whispered quietly to Elijah, "We can go home and we can rest afterwards. Cuddle in bed."

Nate smiled and took it from her, feeding Holly quietly.

"Bonnie, that was private." Elijah told her.

"That wasn't me Elijah."

The nurse let Holly be held for quite a while, due to how well she was responding to both her parents.

Tatia came in a few hours later, smiling in surprise when she saw that Holly was in her fathers arms. "Oh wow." she breathed. "She's doing better then yeah?"

Vanessa nodded quietly.

"What was?" Kaida asked quietly.

"Of course she's doing well," Nate nodded.

"When can she come home?" Vanessa asked the nurse quietly.

"If she continues like she has done with you two today, then possibly in a few days time."

"He was thinking about the first time you and him were in bed together."

Nate just nodded a bit at that.

Kaida laughed quietly, glancing up and studying Elijah's face.

"Can I?" Vanessa asked, gesturing towards Holly, "Before she has to go back?"

Nate sighed softly and nodded.

Vanessa smiled and took her baby from him gently, rocking her in her arms.

Tatia leaned over Vanessa's shoulder and gently stroked Holly's hands.

Elijah was trying not to laugh at Bonnies disgusted expression.

Nate watched quietly.

"Don't be disgusted Bonnie," Kaida laughed quietly, "Lijah has a lovely body,". Before whispering to Elijah, "Go on, laugh. It'll be nice to hear."

At Bonnies look of horror, before Elijah and Stefan started laughing.

Vanessa smiled when Holly settled down to sleep, before sighing when the nurse gently took her off her and placed her back down in the incubator.

"I've never heard you laugh properly before," Kaida mused gently with a small smile, resting her head on Elijah's shoulder and listening to his laugh contently.

Nate let out a deep sigh too, narrowing his eyes at the nurse.
