Immortal Mansion

She sat down and waited.

(Do you want to skip a little until she's back home a few days and he can come home?)

A few days had passed since the incident, and Ariadne was back at the mansion. She was sat outside with a cup of hot cocoa and her sister beside her. Grace was dressed in wooly jumpers, hats and scarf and Ariadne was in a thin cardigan, the sisters appeared to be laughing about it. Neither of them spoke about what had happened the other day but Grace could tell that it played on her sisters mind.

Nate was stood at the treeline watching the house, his memory of the last few days was incredibly foggy but there was more and more that he was now remembering.

Grace said something to Ariadne before she hugged her and went inside. When she was gone, Ariadne walked to the fountain and she used her powers to melt some of the winter ice.

When Grace was gone, Nate came out of the shadows. "Hello," he whispered.

Ariadne looked at him, she seemed shock that he would even turn up. "Hi." She whispered.

He gave her a light smile. "M' sorry..."

"What are you sorry for?" She asked.

"Everything."

She looked at him not knowing what to say.

"M' remembering more now. I-... " he shook his head not sure how to voice all that he was feeling.

She waited, she knew better than to interrupt him and she wanted to see if he could talk to her about his feelings.

"It's still kinda blurry..." he continued after a moment running a hand through his hair. "But..I-... can you ever figure me, Ari?" his eyes were sad as he looked at her.

"I don't get what you mean?" She asked him, she wasn't entirely sure what he wanted her to figure for him.

(Gah! LOL that was meant to say 'Forgive him')

Ariadne looked at him. "I'll be honest, you've not done anything to me for me to forgive you." She told him. "What happened wasn't your fault, yes I would like to know why you left me and why you had me captured, but I don't think I will find out."

"I'm trying to remember... honest. It's fuzzy still but I'm remembering more and more. I'm not sure why I led you to them but I know I didn't want to."

She nodded.

He ran a hand through his hair.

He held her close.

Nathaniel sighed deeply. "I don't know what to do."

She hugged him, suddenly. "Stay." She told him.

He slid his arms around her pressing his face into her shoulder, nodding slowly.

She held him close.
