Reuniting Tornedalians

Aly didn't really know what to do so she stayed in the kitchen softly singing a lullaby they normally used when Ella had been upset.

Max got up and walked out eventually, letting her deal with the baby and instead going to where the rapids were. Spending the rest of the night with some adrenaline filled sport.

Aly ended up going to bed but in the morning she wasn't there, she had Connor had gone out TO Rebekahs and Noahs.

"My dad is at your parents house," Ella hummed as she wandered into hers and Oliver's den.

Noah frowned as he listened to his daughter talk, placing a cup of tea down in front of her.

"Yeah I know." He sighed. "Dad wanted to check on him." He told her as he played with the baby.

Aly was about to drink the tea but stopped when she heard Connor crying.

"No you sit down, I've got him." Rebekah told her. "You're exhausted darling, go upstairs and get some sleep we will talk more when your more rested."

"We can look after Connor just fine," Noah agreed quietly.

"Mm, well.. my uncle died last night apparantly." Ella shrugged.

Aly nodded. "Thank you." She whispered and she headed up to bed.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, I didnt know him really I just... can't believe he is hurting like that and he is with your parents rather than with my mum. I think they must be in a really bad place."

Noah watched her go.

Oliver shrugged. "Do you want me to hold. Off on leaving?" He asked her. They had spoken about getting a witch to fix his problems with the wolf.

Rebekah looked to Noah as she held the baby.

Jeni was sitting across from. Max, she had just made him. Another coffee to sober him up after he emptied hers and Chris alcohol cupboard.

"No, no. The sooner this is all fixed the sooner everyone can get back to as normal as normal can be." Ella whispered.

"What are you thinking?" Noah asked.

Max sipped at the coffee in silence.

"You know staying here isn't helping your case right?"

Oliver nodded. "Are you going to be okay?"

"Im thinking of how to give max blunt force trauma to the head and make it look like an accident."

"My case? I'm not the unsupportive-"

"Okay," Christopher cut him off before nasty words could be said, sitting himself down beside Max and resting a hand on his shoulder. "We have two different issues at once going on here, don't we? Faun calmed you down from the first issue, and Aly apologised too.. had you not lost Geo then it would all be fixed, right?"

Max nodded.

"So... what is the main reason your angry....?"

"Told her he was dead and she breezed over it. Didn't even try to hold me."

"I'm not. I'm not worried, think they'll be fine - emotions are high right now, thats all."

Ella nodded.

"Maybe she didn't know if she could." Jeni suggested. "Max the time she saw you before you both fought, maybe there was a boundary she did not want to cross or did not know if she could."

"Can I still give him. Accidental blunt force trauma?" Rebekah asked him, almost playfully, just as the baby started whimpering. "You are a fussy little pup aren't you, what's wrong sweetie?"

Oliver kissed her cheek.

"What time are you leaving?" Ella asked quietly.

"Bullshit. She acts like I beat her, she's being dramatic - all that happened was I told her I was going home and I wanted one on one time with my son. She turned it into an argument, she was unsupportive, she gave the ultimatum and now she won't hug me when my brother has been murdered but obviously I am the one everyone is against." Max muttered.

"I'm not against you," Christopher frowned, pulling him into his arms. "I see all your points, Max. I won't let anyone be unfair to you, ok?"

Noah shook his head with an amused grin

She smiled softly.

"I see your points but I also see hers." Jeni told him.

"It will be tomorrow."

"All that matters right now is your grieving," Chris assured gently. "The rest of it can wait, and if anyone tries to turn it into anything more than that then they need to back off."

Max just buried his face against his shoulder.

"Well, then what time tomorrow?"

Jeni watched them.

"Early morning."

Chris glanced up to look at Jeni then, whispering to her. "Its important not mix an argument up with a death. They are two different things... Max is one of the ones who have been through the unimaginable - now he and Belle have a double whammy. Its a lot."

Ella just nodded.

"Yeah you don't have to speak like I do not see." She whispered back as she got up and walked to the kitchen.

He made sure that the baby was safe and he walked over o her, kissing her gently. "And when I come back, why don't we start planning our wedding." He suggested.

Chris just wrinkled his nose, watching her go.

"That sounds like a great plan," Ella smiled, kissing him back.

He genly kissed her back.

Jeni sat a the table prepping food for dinner.

Chris joined her after a few minutes, leaning against the table as he watched her. "Whats wrong? Did I... do something wrong?"

Dmitri placed a plate of cooked breakfast food on Belle's lap as he sat himself down on the bed beside her. "Here.. you should eat."

"I'm not hungry." Belle old him.

"That just came out a bit...I don't know...Egocentric." Jeni old him. "Sorry, I think I'm just a bit ouchy. Go and spend time with Max, he needs you."

"I will be."

"Egocentric?" Chris questioned with a confused expression. "I can't cope with Max being the centre of the pack gossip because he and Aly have fallen out when his brother has just died, petty arguments aren't important when people have died. You and I were in the middle of a huge fight when my baby brother died but that didn't matter, you were still there for me and then once it all became easier to deal with that is when we sorted out the argument. That's how it should be, how we done it and I know that's exactly how it would be had it been one of Aly's family members to die, Max wouldn't of let her get drunk at someone else's house."

"Mm, can you just have a few bites? Might help you feel better."

"She has a baby to look after Chris, it's a full time job she can't go chasing after him everytime he decides to leave the house."
