Tatia returned it, waiting until Vanessa had finished before asking; "Ness baby, do you feel any better?"

Vanessa shook her head, squeezing her eyes shut and burying her face in Klaus' arms.

"Only other thing I can think of is wolfsbane," Tatia murmured to Klaus as she gently stroked Vanessas arm. "But if werewolf venom can infect her then wolfsbane shouldn't..."

Klaus just sighed and smoothed Vanessa's hair down soothingly, asking Astrid, "Did you bring the dart with you that you found in her back?"

Astrid shook her head in the negative, "I didn't think so. Didnt think it was important to. It might still be at the lake though, if someone wants to get it. I could, but it'd take me half an hour to walk there and back." she frowned.

"Ill go get it," Tatia nodded, bending down as much as she could to kiss the top of Vanessas head.

"Kol, go with her to make sure nothing happens." Klaus told his brother simply, glancing over to him.

Kol nodded, waiting until Tatia had started walking from the house until he followed her.

"It wasn't his fault, you know," Astrid told Klaus quietly, "Mine if anything for teasing her, an' she broke his neck so he couldn't really go and chase after her."

"I'm not blaming anyone, Astrid," Klaus replied before kissing the top of Vanessa's head, "You're going to be just fine, Ness, we'll find out what's wrong."

"Don't wanna die daddy," Vanessa mumbled, "Don't let me die." She begged as she clung onto him.

Klaus frowned at that, tightening his arms around her a little bit and whispering, "You aren't going to die baby, you're going to be just fine. I've never lied to you, I won't start now." he soothed quietly.

"I should of ran instead of just walked after her." Astrid whispered, crouching down and rubbing her sisters back soothingly.

"Feels like I'm dying..." Vanessa protested, sinking her seeth into Klaus' arm where she could find a spot, desperately trying to make her pain go away.

"You're not," Klaus assured, smoothing her hair down gently and whispering, "As soon as we figure out what was in that dart that hurt you we'll make the pain go away," he promised, "And then we're going to track down the people that did this to you and make them pay. Your being really brave, Ness, m'proud of you."

Astrid sighed softly and grabbed her mobile and glanced to the time to see how long her mother and Kol had been.

Vanessa made a quiet moaning noise around Klaus' arm, shivering slightly now.

Astrid got to her feet and brought in another blood bag, handing it to Vanessa and whispering gently, "You don't want to drain your father dry now, do you Ness?"

Klaus frowned when Vanessa began to shiver, pulling his mobile from his pocket and calling Tatia.

Vanessa pulled her teeth free from Klaus and sank them into the bag.


"Nik? Is Ness okay, what's wrong?" Tatia asked as she answered.

"She's shaking quite a bit, says she feels like she's dying. How long are you going to be?" Klaus asked, tightening his arm around Vanessa a little bit more.

"We're on our way back now, its just hard to run without setting off more of these traps..." Tatia told him, sounding quiet worried herself.

"Be careful but be back as quick as you can." Klaus told her with a sigh.

"I will, I'm trying my best." Tatia assured.

"Your on speaker now, if you want to talk to Ness." Klaus told her, placing the home on the table so he could smooth Vanessa's hair down soothingly.

"Ness baby, mommy will be home real soon I promise, you're gonna be just fine Ness." Tatia told her, trying to soothe her as best she could. Vanessa simply mumbled something in response.

Klaus sighed and moved his hand to rest against Vanessa's forehead to see if she had a temperature.

Vanessa was quite the opposite, she wouldve been cool to the touch.

"Ill see you both soon." Tatia promised before hanging up.

Alec: yawned quietly before slumping back into the couch just looking at the plate on his lap not sure if he was really in the mood to eat or not

Trinity: I'll do that then. One less person to worry about getting inside helps.

"Eat it before I give it down your throat, Alec." Fleur told him, pulling him against her gently and brushing her fingers through his hair.

Malvolio nodded, adding, "It may not prevent him though, just hurt him while he tries."

"You'll be okay," Klaus told Vanessa with a small sigh.

Trinity: I have to do whatever I can though, don't I Mal?

Alec: rolled his eyes at her You know talking to me like that isn't going to make me eat

"I'm learning you respond best from violence and threats, so eat it wolf." She replied bluntly, "Before I force you to."
