"Do you want me to get Alex?"

"I'm pretty sure you could calm her if she tried enough. It's because I'm a number."

"Ok, can you take Anjuli to Alex...He should be either in the kitchen or his room."

Ranger grimaced at the thought of seeing Alex but approached Moira as if to take Anjuli.

She handed Anjuli to him and she moved to kneel infront of Citlali.

Citlali stared at Ranger when he left and only flicked frightened eyes to Moira when Ranger was out of sight.

Anjuli sucked her thumb as she was carried.

Ranger was quiet as he walked into the kitchen looking for Alex.

Alex was sitting at the dining table with Evelyn and they were eating dinner.

"Moira told me to bring Anjuli."

Alex got up and walked to them and he took his daughter. "Thank you." He told Ranger before looking at his daughter. "What's up darling?"

"I had a nightmare."

Ranger sighed and ran a hand through his hair

"Do you want to go and see Evie?"

She nodded.

"If Moira comes through, tell her I've just jumped for a moment okay?" Without waiting for an answer, Ranger disappeared.

"Fine."

Ranger didn't return for a few hours. When he did, he came back with a young woman, in her early twenties perhaps, holding onto his arm so she could be brought along as well.

Moira was sitting in the kitchen, everyone else had gone to bed and she sighed to herself as she looked at a letter that was in front of her.

"You should have called me before it got serious." The woman pulled her arm free and leaned up to kiss Ranger's cheek. "But I'm glad to see you're okay. Next time, give me warning if you're going to grab me. Where is she?"

"Moira would know."

"Let's go find this Moira then, hmm?" the woman twisted around to pick a door.

Moira had more or less seen what had happened and she walked to her room, shutting her door.

"Dad wants you to visit," the woman murmured, tucking her hand back into Ranger's arm.

"I'm not into family reunions. Let's not bother Moira. Citlali will probably be in either her room or the infirmary."

Alex was sitting in Citlali's room, waiting for her to wake up since this is where Moira had said to put her.

Ranger led her to the infirmary first before guiding her to Citlali's room. The way the woman depended on him showed she was blind.

Alex looked at the door as he heard them.
