"I just need more stuff that's mine.. don't know how you get that."

"Could buy things, make things." He suggested.

"Mm."

He watched her.

"Needs to have meaning; buying things don't make it have meaning."

"Then buy something that has meaning." He suggested.

"Meaning doesn't happen out of no where, someone has to give it meaning for you."

"Then I'm at a loss."

"Didn't expect you to have answers, just... wanted to talk. Doesn't matter, you obviously don't do deep talk."

"I don't really know how." He told her.

"You don't know how?"

He shook his head.

"How? Don't you.. has no one ever spoken to you about non-superficial things before?"

He shook his head. "Don't forget, on my home planet emotions are meaningless and talking about them isn't really what we do so having an indepth conversation is not really omething I'm good at."

"You have them though, feelings... let me teach you."

"If you wish, just don't be surprised if it doesn't work very well."

"This isn't working, is it?" She sighed. "Our friendship or.. whatever this is. We aren't communicating and if you don't think it is going to 'work well' to begin to then what is the point?"

"Like I said earlier you disagree with everything that I say to you." He told her. "You won't really give anything the time of day, so most of the time I'm at a loss of what you want from me."

""Anything? I do loads with you... I need more than superficial that's all, and every time we start to talk about things that matter you change the subject. Like earlier, about your childhood and you just.. done a 180 on that. I know you as much as the stranger three corridors away Felax."

"Because when I tell you about me you disagree."

"So you said something once and now your never going to let it go?"

"As long as you keep doing this, yes I will."

"Doing what?! What am I doing now?!"

"You act all doom and gloom, your opening statement was that this friendship isn't going to work." He told her.

"That wasn't an opening statement, it was a mid conversation statement. Do you actually listen and connect any of what I say? Or do you just kind of follow a narrative in your head that no one else is clued into?"
