Tatia just nodded and breathed deeply tryin to relieve her pain.

Klaus got to his feet and picked her up, heading out and putting her in the car, putting her seatbelt on her before getting into the drivers seat.

"Is Astrid gonna look after Mia?" Tatia asked between breaths

Klaus nodded in response, "Don't you worry about that" he hummed, driving towards the hospital as quickly as he could

Tatia nodded and rested her head against the window.

Many hours later, Tatia finally laid her head back after one of the babies was out, the nurses informing her she had another few minutes before the other would come as they cleaned up the baby. She looked completely exhausted - this labour had been her longest and most painful - like she was going to close her eyes and fall straight asleep. "I can't do it again Nik." she cried to Klaus. "Im not strong enough, I'm too tired." she added, more tears joining the streaks on her face.

"You can, love," Klaus encouraged gently, squeezing her hand soothingly and moving her hair from her face, "Just want more, then we get to meet them, both of them. You've carried them, I thought you wouldn't manage it but you proved me wrong and you did. you can get over the last hurdle, easily, I believe in you, love."

Tatia just shook her head, leaning into Klaus a little. "I can't Nik, I just can't do it." she sobbed, her cries cut off a few minutes later with a scream as she squeezed Klaus' hand tightly again, an within another half an hour the second baby - their son as the nurse announced - was out. Tatia had been so busy concentrating she didn't notice the nurse rushing their daughter from the room a while prior.

Klaus frowned a bit when the nurse rushed there daughter out, sighing as she remembered what Aria said about only one probably surviving before he put his focus back on Tatia. Smiling a bit and kissing her forehead gently, "Well done, love, see, I told you you could do it."

Tatia just gave him a small smile back, the most she could manage at the moment as she rested against him heavily. Within minutes the nurse placed their son down in Tatias arms. Tatia cooed over him with a grin for a few seconds before frowning. "Where's my other baby?" she asked.

"Your daughter is having a little trouble breathing on her own at the minute, we've just put her on a ventilator to help. Don't worry." The nurse explained calmly, though the way she said it had no effect as Tatia immediately started panicking.

Klaus took the baby from her when she started panicking, smiling down at his son before sighing and moving a hand over to rest on Tatia's arm, "Sshh, Tat, panicking won't help. Just take some deep breathes."

"Go to her Nik, don't leave her on her own." Tatia told him, trying to breathe deeply as he'd said.

Klaus just let out a small sigh and nodded, getting to his feet and heading to where his newest daughter was, still carrying the boy.

"You want to know what happened to my family now?" Fleur asked him quietly.

The baby was settled into an incubater with a ventilater settled into her mouth, she was considerably tinier than her brother and was currently being observed by a nurse with a clipboard.

Tatia got to her phone and text Astrid, simply saying she needed her as soon as.

"How likely is it that she'll pull through?" Klaus asked quietly

"Depends if she starts responding any time soon, if she starts breathing on her own within the next few hours then she'll be fine. If not, well…"

"What's the probabilty?" Klaus asked quietly.

"It's honestly fifty fifty, she's tiny, and wasn't breathing at birth, but she's trying on her own, so I'd still have hope." She smiled softly, before glancing at the boy. "You should probably get him fed before he starts crying, we'll let you know if anything changes with your daughter, and once the mothers rested up she can come in and see her."

Klaus just let out a small sigh and gave a nod, heading back into Tatia's hospital room where a bag of things were for the baby. Pausing when he met Astrid at the door and motioning for her to go in ahead.

Astrid grinned before heading inside and sitting at her mothers side, "Sorry it took me so long to get here, had to convince Kol to not come with me and keep an eye on Mia."

Tatia looked at Klaus, "Is she okay Nik? Where is she? What are they doing with her?" she asked, trying her best not to panic as she reached out for Astrids hand, holding it tightly.

"She's just fine for now, there is hope, she's fighting - trying her best to breath in her own. The nurse said it's fifty fifty and when you rest a bit you can see her." Klaus told her quietly as he rummaged in the bag and make the boy a bottle with blood in.

Astrid squeezed her mothers hand comfortingly.

The baby muffled around in Klaus' arms a little, making a few small noises as he shifted.

"This is all my fault, I did too much, I should've rested instead of being stubborn." Tatia whispered as she leaned against Astrid, trembling slightly as she watched Klaus with their son.

"It isn't, mom," Astrid frowned, "I bet she'll be fine,"

"Of course she will be." Klaus agreed, before feeding the baby quietly.

Tatia just stayed silent as she rested against Astrid heavily.

The baby fed happily, curling his hands around Klaus' fingers on the bottle.

Astrid sighed softly at her mother.


Klaus smiled, walking over and sitting the other side of Tatia with the baby, "You want to hold him?" he asked her.
