"Oh," Sence whispered with a very deep frown, tilting her head back and studying the ceiling as she asked, "And whom would that be if you do not mind me asking."

"Do not be foolish," Vladomir whispered softly, "We will see what happens in the future, there is no pressure on you, alright?"

"You've given up your choice of wife for me, there must be something I can do for you..."

"I had no one in view anyway, Rhaens, it is no burden. I assure you."

"But now if you meet a lady and wish to marry her you won't be able to..."

"It is no burden," He assured, before whispering, "Knowing you are happy and not being forced away from your home is reward enough."

"Tell me you won't be upset when I say and that you won't stop being my friend".

"Why does my happiness matter so much to you my lord? Before this we were nothing more than mere acquaintances... And now you're marrying me so I'm not with someone else…"

"I'm sorry, she's just like my family and I really care about her."

"I'd never stop being your friend, Thaddeus," Sence whispered softly.

Vladomir just shrugged in response before telling her, "If you keep calling me my lord I will keep calling you my lady, my lady."

"I apologise my - Vladomir. My mother always called my father, my lord, I was raised that it was the appropriate way to address your suitor and husband."

"It is fine for you to call me by my name Rhaenys. I give you permission."

"Thank you." Rhaenys nodded, "I suppose my father has already told you of my dowry?"

"Well what about you then, whom do you have your eye on?"

"No, don't change the subject . What were you doing to say?"

Vladomir shook his head.

"My dowry is the riverlands - the parts that he owns anyway, which means all the fishermen would pay their taxes to my new husband. A few small businesses were also in the deal, including Ashara's dress shop and a bakery or two. Then there was some old furniture in the mix that's supposedly valuable, some jewels and things like that. That's why he was so quick to accept Lord Bakers proposal. Since he lived so far away, the riverlands and the businesses didn't mean much to him, he just wanted a few extra jewels rather than the land."

"I'm sorry, she's like my family and I've grown to really care about her."

"Well that a lovely young lady like yourself needs a gentleman of higher value then myself to care for her. You deserve much better".

She frowned deeply at that and shook her head, lifting her hand up to rest gently on his cheek. Brushing her thumb over his cheek bone and whispering gently, "I do not agree with that."

He shook his head in response and just headed towards his home.

Vladomir just gave a small nod, replying a moment later, "Well, I'm sure I'll be discussing it all with your father soon."

"Thank you, once more my lord. I feel you've saved my life, had I been sent to that awful place I think I may have ended it all..."

"Hush," Vladomir whispered with a small sigh, "You best go back to your home, you wouldn't want your father to catch you. Especially not at this hour. I could walk you home if you wish."

"I'll be fine my lord, thank you." Rhaenys whispered. She stood motionless for a minute or so before leaning forward and gently kissing his cheek. Thanking him once more before she headed off back to her home.

She walked with him, aiming for the house two doors away from his own.

Vladomir remained silent as he watched her go before turning and heading back towards his home silently.
