She wrapped her legs around his waist.

He held her up against him.

She pressed her forehead against his.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"Come, let us go and tell your mother the news."

"I suppose so."

He put her down.

Taking a deep breath she placed her hand into his.

He held her hand as they left, after checking on Caleb, and they walked down towards her mothers home.

She walked silently at his side.

Elijah walked with her.

When they arrived at her mothers home she let them both in and walked towards the kitchen where her mother was cooking.

He followed her.

Her mother turned to look at them both. "Hello Elijah. What brings you both here so early?"

"We have something to tell you mother."

Elijah let Marie tell her.

"Elijah and I will be getting married."

Her mother smiled and nodded. "Very well I was hoping that would be so. You will take care of my daughter Elijah, yes?"

"Of course I will."

Marie smiled sliding her arms around Elijah. 

"Alright. I do hope I can help with this wedding if I am allowed?"

"Well, considering that my own mother is dead, I would appreciate it." Elijah told her mother as he slid his arms around Marie.

Marie kissed his cheek.

He done the same as her.

Her mother watched them both with a faint smile. 

Marie rested her cheek against his chest, hugging him lightly around the waist.

He held her close.

"You both shall keep me updated on what needs to be done with the wedding then?"
