Elemental Kingdom

"Hey there," Delilah said softly. "You're doing great, you're doing great Snow." She tightened her hand just briefly and suddenly they were in a warm room. The warmth vanished almost immediately though, because Delilah circulated it somewhere else.

Blaze was strung up on the far wall like some macabre sacrifice, literally staked to the wall and barely conscious

Snow pulled her hand away as soon as she could.

"I'll have to stay so you don't burn up but I won't be able to see or hear so..." Delilah smiled and walked away.

Snow watched her leave, before she walked over to Blaze, being ever so careful because of how scared she felt.

Blazes head was hung, chin almost to his chest as if he were asleep. The fact that his chest was moving signalled he was actually breathing and alive.

"Blaze?" She whispered, gently touching him.

Blaze flinched and tried to straighten his head.

"Blaze..." She whispered again, she sounded scared.

"Snow?" Blaze asked, voice rough.

"I'm here." She gently slid her fingers between his.

Blazes fingers twitched in an attempt to hold her hand in return,but was a little too weak.

"I love you."

Blaze mumbled something back but had to clear his throat gently before he murmured, "Love you too..."

She smiled slightly.

"Hurts..." Blaze said it in a near sigh.

"I know, but you'll be okay Blaze, you always are."

"I don't wanna have to do this..." He shivered violently as if cold despite the fact the room would be sweltering if it wasn't for Delilah.

"Don't want to have to do what?"

"This." Blaze jerked his head slightly to motion to himself.

"I don't think this is optional."

Blaze just made a noise close to a whimper, head hanging limply.

"I'm sorry Blaze."

Blazes fingers twitched around hers again and he gave a shuddery sigh.

"I'm sorry for everything."

"Not your fault..."
