"The other dates dragged her off, didn't fully get what it was about but she asked me to check on you and to make sure you got here in one piece."

While the two were talking, Piattro left a note where he was going before he walked off to find Feferi.

"Probably about me." Eridan rubbed a hand over his head absently. "They really do not like my existence, because it's a wrench in their plans."

Feferi was in her bedroom, in shorts and bra as she dried her hair, a shirt on the bed next to her as she scrubbed her hair with the towel.

He eventually appeared behind her and h kissed her neck. "Good evening."

"You know that your mother, Feferi and I won't let anything happen to you."

"Good evening to you, too. Did you manage to distract Eridan then, or did you leave him by his lonesome?"

"You'd think they'd be nicer, considering I'm their nephew." Eridan started hunting in his pockets, pulling out a packet of cigarettes before he muttered, "Got a light? Or are you going to pull a Feferi and say its bad for me?"

"Poseidon turned up, quite convenient actually."

"You think someone with power of the ocean carries a light?" Poseidon asked, though he was being playful. "Just route in Piattro's jacket he might carry one."

"Mm, that is quite convenient. Something happen on the other end, or did he need to get away from Atropos?" Feferi dropped the towel to brush her hair, wincing at the knots.

"At least you didn't lecture me. Mother hates it, even though, technically, I can't get any human illnesses, cancer included." Eridan had an expression of success as he found a lighter, briefly reading the note Piattro had left upon seeing it, and lit his cigarette with practised ease.

"It was either him or Atropus."

"She's just trying to look after you."

Feferi shrugged. "How long do you reckon it'll last for?"

"I did fine without her. Granted, I was with Feferi at the time, but still."

"Yeah, and now she wants to make it up to you."

"Reckon what will last for?"

"I can look after myself. I'm not a tiny, endangered child anymore." Eridan took in a slow breath from the cigarette, letting the smoke out in circles.

"Atropos' and Poseidon's relationship. I can't see Atropos lasting long."

"I've noticed."

"Me neither...This should be fun to watch."

"So, you've checked on me. Now what?" Eridan watched the smoke curl up in the air, expression tight. "Mum won't be back from 'consultations' with the other two any time soon, unless you manage to break her out. I'm not allowed close because then it puts me in danger."

"Enough about them though. This stuff with Hera, has it automatically happened or do I need to take a tablet, syringe or what?"

"Automatically."

Poseidon shrugged. "Well I'm in no rush to visit the dear older brother of mine."

"Twenty four hours you said we had though, huh?"

"You mean Hades? So what, you're going to leave or just hang about until mum is set free from the clutches of her sisters?"

"No I meant Zeus, Hades is bearable."

"Mhmm."

"Zeus is another one that doesn't like me or -" Eridan froze, head tilted slightly as if he was focusing on something.

"So, a time limit but no rush." Feferi pulled her hair up into a ponytail in an absent motion.

"Pretty much."

Poseidon watched him.

Feferi hummed as she nodded, tightening her ponytail and combing her fingers through her fringe.

"House boundaries?" Eridan asked, voice tight. "Where do the wards end for the house?"

"They stop around 7 meters from either side of the house."

He moved to kiss her neck gently.

Eridan quickly made for the door, absently pulling his hair back from his face. It was long enough that he could tug it up into a crude ponytail tying it with a leather band.

"Hera didn't ask any awkward questions, huh? Considering you and your parentage that is."

"No, she didn't."

Poseidon followed him.

"That's lucky." Feferi twisted around to reach and tangle her fingers in his hair to tug him down for a kiss.

"Clotho lashed out. I think mom is okay but..."

"Your mom will be fine."

He pulled her close, a hand moving into her hair as he kissed her back.

Eridan ignored him as he dropped to Atropos' side. She was leaning against the invisible barrier she couldn't get through, one hand pressed to her face where it had been almost shredded.

Feferi sighed into the kiss, leaning gently against him.

"Still want to go back to Eridan?" He asked her as he moved a hand into her pants.

Poseidon was at a loss, but he stayed quiet.
