When Astrid came back down the stairs she outstretched her palm to him so he could take his wedding ring back, having already put on her own.

"Mum?" Mia called quietly as she entered her parents home, "You in?"

"He might want a bit of support," Fleur pointed out quietly, "Want us to go or stay, Cal?"

"A long time, Matteo, a long time." Malvolio frowned.

"It depends on where we're going."

Mia nodded, "Why wouldn't I? I want a little me and Cal that'll love me unconditionally, that I can raise and help grow and cry when they graduate or get married and things like that. Why wouldn't I want children?"

Astrid just hugged him silently then. "Don't feel bad for anything, it's all okay now." she soothed softly.

"That isn't what's going to happen and you know it, stop thinking the worst of me."

Kol sighed quietly.

"I was just checking Mia, relax." Tatia assured. "If you need a surrogate I'll do it for you, if it's what you really want."

"Exactly, you'd be carrying him or her. You'd have the pain, and the sickness and all of those kind of things and you'd get attached, I know you would, I would too if I ever had to do it for someone and I don't want you to have to give it away when you'd of known it and looked after it." Mia whispered.

"You left me, that's all. It happens, I'm just glad you're mine again." Astrid replied gently, "You might have a tougher time with Adam later on, but I'd always forgive you, you've apologised, you feel bad so you're forgiven. Don't beat yourself up too much, okay?"

"He's my dad!"

"Adam probably still hates me."

"He probably still hates both of us," Astrid whispered quietly, "He's agreed to see us, so that means he's given us a chance, hm?"

"I'm not doing that to you." Mia shook her head.

"Mia. If I didn't think I could hand the baby over do you think I'd offer? It's either me or a stranger because your sisters won't do it and you know that. Me and your dad accepted we'd have no more kids she's ago, I won't think about it as my own."

Fleur nodded and got to her feet.

Diesel followed her, "Go ahead and get whatever drink you want, help yourself."

"Fine!" Adam hissed, turning and walking back to the car.

Astrid sighed too and went silent then, just brushing her fingertips through his hair to try and soothe him as she hugged him.

Mia shook her head, "I- I'll think about it, okay?" she asked with a deep frown.

Olivia turned to watch him walk away, making a frustrated noise and carrying on walking.
