"It's just really difficult, Kol," Astrid whispered. "What would you do?"

Kol just shrugged. "I have no idea."

"Your mother is too much of a decent wife, a decent person to cheat on her husband!"

Vanessa quietly nodded, remaining silent for the next few hours. "We should go Rik." She said in the early hours of the morning.

"So it'd be acceptable for her to stay in a marriage where she feels trapped and gets beaten for silly reasons when not too far away is someone who treats her like a princess?"

Astrid just sighed softly and rested her head on his shoulder then.

"Mm," Henrik hummed in agreement.

"Well since she hasn't strayed she wouldn't have been beaten! Just shut up boy! Shut up!" Adam hissed.

"We'll come back later on dad." Vanessa said quietly, getting up and kissing his cheek before heading out.

"You're in a rather difficult situation."

"You just said it was perfectly acceptable for them to be beaten if they displease whom they are owned by, yet wouldn't be pleased it my mum was the one going through that. You also said it wouldn't be acceptable to beat them harder if they are unfaithful due to getting beaten for no reasons. So therefore, if a man whom is married to a woman who displeases him he may beat her - if that woman finds someone whom treats her like a princess and makes her feel cared about than it is acceptable for the man whom caused her to run to the other man in the beginning to beat her harder, all of that is acceptable and yet if hypothetically my mother was going through that it would not be acceptable? Do you see how hypocritical your way of thinking is now? Do you see how wrong it is?"

Astrid nodded, closing her eyes with a sigh.

"Mm," Klaus hummed, watching them go silently before closing his eyes.

"Shut up! You're wrong just shut up!" Adam shouted, grabbing the nearest thing - a photo and lobbing it at the wall in his frustration, getting up and pacing.

Kol kissed her head, frowning at the noise.

Tatia jerked herself awake around an hour later, blinking in confusion as she came to.

"I'm right, you know I'm right just admit it. Go on, admit your wrong!" Adam hissed.

Astrid frowned and moved away from Kol then, heading into the room and frowning at her father, walking to him and resting her hand on his arm to try and make him stop pacing. "Calm down," She told him. "Take deep breathes and try and calm down."

"Mm…?" Klaus hummed, blinking his eyes open with a yawn, having been dozing lightly and her movement having woken him up.

"No! You are wrong!" Adam hissed, sighing when Astrid walked in and doing as she asked.

Tatia didn't reply, simply staring off into space when she remembered where she was and who with.

"Go back to sleep, Tat, you need all the rest you can get, love. My beautiful, strong wife." Klaus whispered softly, tightening his arms around her and whispering sadly, "Everything was nearly perfect, hm? Everyone was happy and then this happens, never lasts for long."

"Just think about it, hm? I'll help you when you can admit that you were wrong to hurt grandma, when you can gaurentee you'll leave grandma alone from now on." Adam grumbled before leaving the room and walking to his father. "I might of gotten through to him, I hope."

"Come for a drive with me? We can go for a walk and you can clear your head a little bit, if you think it'll help?" Astrid suggested quietly to her father.

"I've already said I'll leave the bitch alone!" Adam hissed, trembling with anger before sighing deeply and nodding at what Astrid suggested.

"Doubt it, he's a stubborn bastard."

Tatia was unresponsive for a few minutes before simply leaning up and kissing his cheek, tucking her head under his and staring at the images on the baby monitor.

Klaus moved one of his hands to rest on her stomach gently as he watched the baby monitor in silence.

Astrid just motioned for him to follow and headed out of the room, ruffling her sons hair and kissing Kol's cheek, "We'll be back in an hour or two, some fresh air is a good idea at the minute I think." she explained before grabbing her car keys and heading out of the house

Adam followed in silence.

Tatia rested her hand over his and snuggled into him further. As she came out of her shell more she started trembling, squeezing her eyes shut to prevent herself from bursting into terrified tears.

"I'm here, I've got you." Klaus soothed softly when she began to tremble, brushing her thumb against her stomach to see if it'd make the baby move at all. "You're safe, love. I love you so , so much Tat, you know that, hm? You're safe now. I'm here. Both of you are safe. I've got you both. You and baby."

Astrid got into the car and started the engine, waiting for him.

"I know." Tatia bit out, her voice breaking as she started sobbing, gripping his hand tighter when his encouragement did indeed make the baby move.

Adam got in beside her silently.

Astrid leaned over to hug him then, not saying a word.

Klaus lifted his hand up to wipe her tears away gently, kissing her cheek softly.

Adam hugged her back tightly.

Tatia leaned towards his hand, sobbing for a while before it stopped and she let out a shaky sigh. "I don't feel safe, I won't ever feel safe. He just popped up out of nowhere and stabbed me. If he's have gone lower he could've hurt the baby... I cant feel safe, even when he's supposed to be gone."

Astrid just silently hugged him.

"I'm sorry for not being the dad you need."

"What makes you think that?" She asked quietly.

"Sshh," Klaus whispered softly with a deep frown, "I know, Tat, I know."

"Because I always screw up."

"I'm scared." Tatia whispered as she cuddled into him. "So so scared. He could've killed me. Our baby..."

"Being a parent is hard, I'm a major failure of one myself to be honest." Astrid whispered quietly in response to that.

"I know, love." Klaus whispered. "I know."

"You don't keep making the same mistakes."

Tatia was silent, burying her face into his chest and trembling.

"You don't know what mistakes I've made. Awful ones, awful, awful ones."

"I think I've made worse ones "

"My mistakes drove Adrian to attempt to kill himself, dad," Astrid mumbled, "Drove Adam to cut off contact with us for ages and move to another country... None of your mistakes ever done that."
