"Oh my. I can see why-why Beck is so happy now you're a lovely one aren't you." His mother whispered softly smiling at Roslin. "Come, sit."

Jayson groaned childish rubbing his neck.

Rosalin laughed a little bit at that and wandered over, sitting herself down beside her gently.

Gale nodded quietly, folding his hands in front of him.

"If you aren't uncomfortable he can stay with you. I don't mind, so long as he is safe and warm."

Paige gave a half smile half grimace, wrapping her hands around her glass. "I-I haven't had much luck. I mean, you've probably noticed the extras." She was talking about the horns and scales from earlier. "And they've caused a lot of trouble. Every attempt at a relationship before this has either resulted in people running away in terror or turned into a fight for my life so...Gale gave this experience the seal of approval and here I am."

"I'm, uh, sorry you have no one to meet today, from my family. It's just me now though, may as well be anyway." Genevieve replied with a small shrug. "I hope this honeymoon we get will be somewhere nice, I can't imagine them scrimping on it at all. Somewhere like Egypt, or Peru. I've always wanted to go hiking in the mountains of Peru."

"How are you dear? I heard you both got lost?"

Jayson wandered over sitting himself down behind Roslin whispering "Her names Linda by the way..."



"You wouldn't mind?" She asked surprised. "I like him he's sweet."


"Gale? That would be the man with you earlier?" Joe asked.

"Don't worry dear between Ian and Amber horns and hooves and such don't bother us." Susan assured her reaching out to pat her hand.

Ian only laughed quietly.

"I'm fine," She replied with a shake of her head, "We both are, don't worry.. Thanks to Jay, of course,"

Jayson slipped one of his hands into hers.

"That's good. He needs someone to look after him now..."

"I'm not going anywhere we exuberant amounts of sand," Gale murmured. "I've had enough to last me a lifetime."

"If he is happy where he is there is no point in changing that." Leonidas hesitated briefly and then offered her his hand. "Should we go to the reception?"

"Mmhmm, Gale's my older brother. He, uh, was being rude, for lack of a better word, if you happened to see my earlier display..." Paige shuffled in her seat, offering Susan a small smile at her words.

"You say that as if you're planning on going places," Rosalin whispered with a small frown, interlocking her fingers with Jayson's and squeezing his hand gently before whispering, "You have an amazing son, Linda,"

"Ah, yeah, good points. What do you think of the mountains then? I've always wanted to go mountain hiking."

Linda smiled softly. "In time I might be. And yes, yes he is."

Jayson shook his head.



Looking at his hand for a moment Amber slowly took hold of it. "Yes."


"It's nice seeing a young women whom can defend herself." Susan smiled in return.

Ian sipped his water.

"Ah, now don't think like that." Rosalin whispered, "You'll be okay if you just believe that you will be."

"I wish it were so but it is not. I have accepted it already." She whispered softly though her smile didn't fade.

Jayson lowered his head looking around the room.

She frowned deeply at that, tugging Jayson a little bit closer to her and sliding her arms around him. "Hey sweetheart, it's okay." She soothed gently.

Jayson wrapped an arm around her waist letting his head rest on her shoulder.

His mother silently watched them both.

"He saved my life," She Linda quietly, "We didn't just get lost... the ice broke underneath me. Thought I was going to die, he saved me. I have no idea why he had to do that silly experiment, I have no idea why I'm not having to fight people off of him because he really is amazing." she whispered, brushing her fingers through Jayson's hair soothingly.

Jayson muttered something in disagreement nuzzling his head lightly into her neck.

"Sometimes things work out in the oddest of ways for a reason. Beck needs a lovely kindhearted women such as yourself and I see special things for you both" she whispered almost knowingly.

"I hope you're right," She whispered quietly, just resting her head on top of his.

Linda only smiled at them both. "I believe I am."

"Tell him it wasn't his fault?" She asked after a few minutes of silence, "He keeps making himself out to be a bad person, blaming himself over what happened to his brother."

Linda let out a deep sigh shifting in her bed. "Beck sweetie we've been through this. You know it wasn't your fault and I don't hold you accountable, you were a boy. Jared wouldn't like you being upset."

"See, stop being silly," Rosalin whispered.

Jayson grumbled quietly shaking his head.

She just shoved him playfully then, letting out a deep sigh.

Jayson laughed grabbing onto her to keep from falling of the bed.

Linda smiled watching them both.

"No, no, no." She scalded teasingly, beginning to tickle him.
