<3 Married At First Sight </3

Ian shifted his gaze around them quickly as he moved to her other side taking her free hand. "You'll be okay. No ones going to hurt."


"I don't believe so. Is there anything you want to do?"

"I wouldn't have known they were there if they hadn't slipped up. The chemical agent they're using is too strong. Caught scent of it on their clothes."

"I was going to draw a bath, I believe, before tying to sleep."

"Alright. I think I shall change into my night things and simply relax then if that's alright?"


Ian frowned as he looked around once more. "Think we can get to the hotel and inside?"

"I don't see why it would be a problem." Leonidas kissed her forehead. "I'll be back shortly."

"If you could take the cage, I can sort it out." Paige opened her eyes from where she'd closed them earlier and dropped her hand away from his. She looked at him and gave a stiff smile, eyes an unnatural, almost alien colour. "I'll bring Paige back safe and sound. Wouldn't want her upset that you got caught in the crossfire. You can go on ahead or wait here if you like, satyr. So long as you remain from harm."

"Keep Paige safe and I'll be here when you both return." He agreed with a slight frown as he moved to take the cage from her.


With a smile she nodded her head and set her suitcase down to go through it.

"Oh, you don't complain like the other one. Like the brother." She laughed, shaking her head. "I think I just might like you. Consider yourself lucky." Closing her eyes and inhaling deeply again, Paige turned on her heel and walked down the corridor, her steps silent and certain.

Leonidas rummaged through his own case and disappeared into the bathroom shortly after.

He gave a huff of displeasure at that but rather then comment kept his mouth shut tight.


Once she heard the door shut behind him and the water running she began to change into a pair of white and light blue satin pajamas.

Paige came back after nearly half an hour, shifted and with blood staining her scales and fur around her mouth and paws. She didn't look badly hurt, but had almost a dozen little darts sticking out of her left hand side and was making sure she didn't put any weight on her left hind leg. As soon as she got close to him, she dropped to her belly with a loud thump and heavily sighed through her nose, closing her eyes.

Leonidas spent just under an hour in the bathroom. When he came out he was dressed in loose pyjamas, the suit he had been wearing neatly tucked over one arm. His other arm, now bare, was seen to have dozens of scars, most of them small and faded, but with a few that were longer and darker.

Ian took in the sight of her with a small sigh. "Want me to remove those?" He asked her simply gesturing to the darts which he would've already began to remove if he didn't think she'd bite him or something.



By the time he would've come out Amber would have been sitting on the bed underneath the thick blanket reading from a book her eyes shifted to him and she smiled softly.

Paige huffed tiredly and rolled onto her right side, exposing her left to him in silent permission, doing her best to curl up considering she took up a lot of room while shifted.

"Sorry for leaving you by yourself for so long," Leonidas murmured softly, folding his clothing meticulously into his suitcase. He'd removed the bandage to his hand while bathing and it had since stopped bleeding, though the bite marks were still visible.

He watched her for a brief moment before stepping closer. "I'll have them out in a moment..." He told her laying a hand on her side and using his free hand began to pull out the darts.


"That's alright." Amber smiled softly scooting over on the bed so he could sit if he liked.

Paige just huffed again, laying her head down heavily and closing her eyes, twitching briefly whenever one was pulled free.

"You do not mind if a light is left on in the corner of the room? The light is dull, but it gives off sufficient heat for Hester. He cannot stay with me during sleep lest he be crushed by accident."

Ian set the darts aside when he finished and gave her a gentle pat. "There. You should heal soon right?"


"Not at a all. I wouldn't want Hester to fall ill."

Paige grunted and curled up before slowly shifting back, almost in stages before she was finally tucked up small but human again, shivering quietly.

Leonidas nodded and set the lamp up in the furthest corner of the room on a table before going into the bathroom and bringing out Hester who was wrapped up in a small towel, just to set him under the light of the lamp.

He bent down to kneel beside her removing his suit jacket and wrapping it about her shoulders. "Think you can make it inside or shall I carry you?"


Amber watched him curiously. "Will he be alright like that?"

Paige gave a quiet whine and rolled her head on her shoulders, barely able to keep her eyes open.

"It is the darkest space I can offer while giving him heat fro the lamp. He will be comfortable."

Ian clenched his jaw tightly as he left their things against the wall and carefully scooped her up into his arms letting her head rest on his shoulders so he could carry her inside the hotel.


"I only wanted to insure he would be alright. I would be upset should something happen to him in the night."

"M'sorry," Paige mumbled. "S'more than four."

"I am certain he shall be safe. Thank you for your concern, however, most would not be so caring of a creature so many normally fear."

"It'll be fine. Sleep if you need to." He muttered in replying speaking to some on behind the counter and getting the key to their room.


"I typically don't have a problem with other animals and such just so I don't get harmed."

"She doesn't like other people," Paige mumbled. "Din't hurt you which is good..."

"It isn't nice to get tagged by a large snake but most of the pets I've had are generally pleasant."

Amber smiled softly. "I tend to be a bit iffy around the being more aggressive pets but usually I do alright."


Carrying her to their room and managing to open the door he entered the room and set her down on the bed. "She was actually rather calm with me so I suppose we shall be alright."

"Snakes are very placid and calm unless aggravated. Being bitten by Hester would be like accidentally skinning a new. A nuisance but not painful."

"I'll be better in a minute. Let me flush my system." Paige's head rolled briefly on her shoulders.

"I do my best to take care around other animals and beings when I can. I'm not one to harm anything."


Ian nodded. "Take your time."

"Don't trust the babies. Cows especially. Calves are cute but their heads are hard."

Paige took in a deep shaky breath and flinched when their was a heavy knock on the door.
