Reuniting Tornedalians

She smiled reaching over and taking his hand into hers before going to sleep.

He smiled softly, gently squeezing her hand as he too fell asleep.

She fell asleep holding his hand.

He also fell asleep.

She slept until morning.

He woke up in the early morning to the cat nuzzling into him.

She was still asleep.

He looked from the cat to Laura then over to the door that led to his sons room before he walked over to check on the young toddler and he found him tossing and turning.

Laura rolled over now that Caleb was gone soon blinking her eyes open and stretching.

Caleb was walking around Alexander's room, with the young toddler lying on on him with his head on his father's shoulder.

She slid from bed and made her way to the baby's room watching them from the doorway.

Caleb was humming a lullaby for his son as he paced the room.

"Is he alright?"

"Yeah, he just had a nightmare."

"Aww well do you need help getting him back to sleep or are you alright?"

"I'm alright, he's asleep, has been for a while, I just didn't feel like putting him down yet."

She nodded slowly smiling at him. "Alright."

He smiled back.

"Come back to bed soon," she whispered turning around and going back into their bedroom.

"I will." He promised, taking his son back to his bed and he tucked him into bed.

Laura crawled under the covers waiting for him.

He joined her after a few minutes.

She slid her arms around him.

He slid his arms around her, pulling her closer.

She held him close closing her eyes.
