Us and Them

She shook her head. "Nope."

She smiled. "Well, your craftmenship is amazing, not even I could do it like this when I first started."

"Yeah?"

She nodded, inspecting her knitting stitch by stitch.

She watched silently.

Esmerelda looked back at her. "This is truely amazing."

"Thank you, really. I've never actually been good at anything before."

She smiled. "No one can be good at everything without a little practice."

Jaylin shrugged her shoulders.

Esmerelda just smiled.

She nodded.

Esmerelda went back to checking her stitching.

Jaylin got up and walked to the window to look out.

Esnerelda was now watching the ocean and there was the trace of dolphins playing in the waves ahead of them.

She stood beside her watching the dolphins quietly.

"Thank you." Esmerelda told her not looking away from the window just yet.

"For what?"

"You make my brother happy, most people don't stick around as long as you have when they find out what's happened to him, but you did."

"Don't thank me for that Esmerelda. He's done much more for me that anyone else every has...all of you have. I've loved Hunter since I was a small child."

"I know but I'm thanking you because you've made my brother happy." She smiled.

Jaylin simply smiled. "He makes me happy."

She smiled. "I'm glad, because you both deserve it."

"He does." She nodded.

She smiled.

She smiled back.
