"Just... Appreciating the rain." He told her, looking to the rain. "Having a quick break before another round or serving."

"Your going to give yourself a cold," She whispered, not moving her gaze off of him. Like she never looked away from anyone she was talking to, eyes intense.

He shrugged. "I'd be fine with that."

"Mm, I bet your mother wouldn't be though."

He shrugged. "I wouldn't know."

"How is that?"

"I've not really seen her the past week, I've been busy working."

"Last we spoke you never stopped, why have you taken even more on?"

"Just things have changed." He shrugged.

Anastasia lifted her hand to rest it on his shoulder, rubbing it gently.

He smiled slightly. "Thought you'd be out with friends or. Something, what brings you to the rundown neighbourhood?"

"It's not run down," She whispered, "I'm just walking through. I always walk through. When does your next shift start?"

"In 5 minutes."

"Well, that's barely enough time for me to be able to whisk you away to lunch." Anastasia frowned, her hand still on his shoulder. Unsure what exactly was wrong, but feeling the need to comfort him.

He shrugged. "How about dinner, Saturday, my treat?" He asked.

"Ok, but we split the bill." She whispered. "We make it fair that way."

He nodded. "As you wish it."

"I'll see you on Saturday then," She whispered, leaning in to kiss his cheek lightly; a gesture so he knew he didn't have to deal with things alone unless he wanted to before getting to her feet and walking away.

He watched her walk away before he went to work.

At the time they'd agreed on the Saturday, Anastasia was stood at the end of her drive waiting for him. Clutching one of her fur jackets to her chest, cold in the wind.

He pulled. Up on his motorcycle.

She silently climbed up onto the back of it.

He gave her a helmet, helping her to put it on.

"Thanks,"

He nodded. "Now, let me show you how my side of the tracks party." He told her playfully.
