Peyton was making her way slowly through the forest, her iris' looking slightly different from whatever blood they had given her to help her heal. Senses more heightened than normal, keeping the border lines of the pack terromtory in sight but not going near it.

Koby remained at the base of his tree.

Bekah froze before she realised that she had locked the bedroom door. "What is it?" She asked as she slid her robe on.

"We have a coven willing to fight our corner and work with us, and all neighbouring packs except the one in the mountains are allies." Faun told him. "The hunters are our last enemy in these lands."

"Harrison said there is the resteraunt that opened like three months ago that is meant to have amazing reviews."

Harrison just shrugged slightly. "It isn't possible. We need to leave it."

Peyton paused when she saw him, waiting for him to come to her.

She sighed. "Maybe you're right, maybe in the future we can try again?" She asked.

She nodded as she came out. "Sounds like a good idea, what is it called?"

"Less personal missons for world peace, more personal missons on getting close to your parentls again, hm?"

"I want to leave again," Peyton whispered nervously. "I- I can't... She-" She grimaced. "I'm a shit mother, she's never hugged me or told me she loved me. Ever. The closest we ever were was when we werent here and I want to be close to her like that again..." Her voice faltered, genuinely believing every word she said, heartbroken.

"Leaving isn't going to solve that." He told her.

She sighed. "You're going to keep trying aren't you?" She asked. "Harrison how do you even know they want me as. A. Daughter?"

"When would you like to. Go?"

"It did before," Peyton whispered. "Your doing well here again, I don't expect you to come as much as I want you to. All I know is that it hurts too much to love her like this when she looks at me the way she does whenever I open my mouth."

Peyton wrapped her arms around him, tucking her head under his chin and closing her eyes. "I wish I was a wolf so I understood. So it didnt hurt so much every day."

"I know, but you're just as wonderful as you are."

"I don't feel it. Always feel like a bad mother and feel like a bad wife too when your wolf is nore prominent. Just a spare part really, arent I?"

"Not really." He told her. "Look, I'll be a realist for once and I want you to listen to it." He told her. "The way you protect Faun, although you're doing it for the right reasons, is coming across as you don't agree with her decisions, Faun still has people in the pack who want to usurp her, seeing you doing that was not helping Faun's position." He told her. "Faun loves you, but she had to give you the choice to leave to get people off her back, I noticed who was around when she said it, it was a tactical move by our daughter, who certainly has your brains by the way." He told her. "And in regards to me, my wolf loves you, but he knows there is a barrier between the two of us when I'm in that form." He told her. "But he loves you just as much as I do."
