"Is he the kind of guy to do the everything else?" She asked.

"Its not the point there are no rules if we're just friends. Can do what he wants, cant he?" She mumbled sadly.

"Didn't you tell him this?" She asked.

"No... He might of just walked away if I had."

"Hey thought that was the old Peyton?" She asked.

"There is no old Peyton, there is just me." Peyton muttered.

"Okay then what about the Peyton who hasn't stopped telling people what she thinks?"

"What do you mean?"

"Since I've known you, you've never stopped yourself from telling people what you really think for fear of them walking away." She told her.

"Well... He's different."

"Why?" She asked. "Because he is your ex?"

"Because I love him, and it only just stopped hurting. Now it hurts all over again."

"If it hurts, why are you considering?"

"Because I saw him, and now I dont want to not see him."

She sighed. "What makes you happy?" She asked. "Being away or seeing him?"

"Being with him... Or not being long enough to heal. Not this 'friend' bullshit."

"Maybe it would be better starting as friends." She suggested. "Maybe a fresh start from the beginning is what is needed."

"No."

She sighed. "Then what are you going to do?"

"Right now... Get drunk. Join me?"

"Sambucca or vodka?"

"Mm, lets go Sambucca." She grinned

She laughed and she found an unopened bottle.

She poured them both glasses.
