Peyton nodded subtly in understanding, humming gently, "At least your home and safe now. Can I get you anything, blood, food, water? Or a hot water bottle and the comfier blanket?"

"As far as he said yeah."

"I know," Peyton whispered, "I just had to be sure that you were okay."

"He lies," Max mumbled, leaning back on the bed and closing his eyes

"I'll be alright, I've got Belle, go and see him, let him know that I'm okay."

"We know, but for his condition he's okay."

"Before you both got hurt, were you getting on well? What do you think of him?"

"Mm." Max mumbled, "Doesn't matter, I can't be missing days I'd said I spent with them. Not now."

"You can come home with us today if you want, then we can drop you off at Chris and Jeni."

"He's a pretty good kid Pey, you need to get to know him too."

"I- No, no I want to go back to the coven. Make sure Andre is okay." Max whispered. "I'll uh.. I'll go to Jeni and Chris' on the way back tomorrow."

"I know him well enough to know he is a good kid," Peyton hummed, "I'm in the process of learning the proper details."

Faun kodder. "Okay, I'm. Sure mum. Would like. To see you."

"Then go to him."

"You should come, stay the night too." Max whispered to his sister. "She misses you, and other than the one crazy girl all the others are nice too."

"I am, I am." Peyton replied, kissing him gently before getting to her feet and leaving the room.

"Oh yeah crazy girl, Aly filled me in, she doesnt seem to like me."

He kissed her back and watched her leave.

"And she likes me too much so together it will balance out fine, come on Faun, come with me please. Just for tonight, and by the time we get there we'll be ready for bed anyway."

Faun looked to Harrison. "Are you going to stay here tonight? It's too late to head home

Harrison nodded subtly, "If Koby wants to put up with me."

Koby smiled softly. "Course I do."

"Sounds like a plan then," Harrison grinned.

"Great!" Max answered, almost estatic, grabbing his sisters wrist and getting to his feet to tug her towards the exit. "Come on, lets go."

"You're forgetting something." Faun told him. As she stopped dead. "Aly saved your life and you've not even said hello to her."

"Get lost and I can," Max hissed, responding badly to the criticism. "It's claustrophobic in here, your all hovering over me like vouchers. Not going to be soppy to my girlfriend with you all here staring lile we're a spectacle."

"Well we had best give the love birds some time alone." Faun told them. "And next time you decide to be a viper I will bop you on the nose like a. Child."

"Just because you shy away from your vampire side doesnt mean I have to run away from mine." Max muttered.

Harrison chuckled, getting to his feet and heading out of the den.

Faun ruffled his hair playfully. "Could always stay with them." She reminded him and she headed out of the den.

Max watched them go before looking over at Alyssa, whispering almost shyly, "Seems almost forced now I have been lectured."

"It's not." She told him, tying a bandage around her wrist from where he bit down.

"It does to me. Thats why I hate getting lectured, people assume they know whats going on in my head - how I think - when the lecture me."

"Try not to worry about it Max." She told him.

"Makes me angry. Not even allowed to be shot without getting had a go at."
