Immortal Mansion

Brooke woke the moment she heard their daughter crying and was quickly out of bed pulling on her pajamas to go check on her.

Deanna was crying into her pillow, her little body shaking.

She frowned, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "Deanna? What's happened?" she laid a hand on her little back.

"I had a bad dream."

"Do you want to tell mommy about it?" She asked softly, scooping her up onto her lap.

She shook her head.

"Alright, it's okay," she soothed.

She snuggled loser to her.

Brooke hummed softly to her.

Deanna snuggled against her.

She smoothed her hair softly, quietly singing some of their favorite songs to her.

Deanna eventually fell back asleep against her.

Brooke remained sitting there for her for several minutes longer until she positive she was asleep before gently laying her back down onto her bed and covering her with her blanket. She than slowly backed out of the room.

Dean was waiting for her in their room. "Isshe okay?"

"Yeah, she is now. She says she had a nightmare.. but she wouldn't tell me what it was about."

"Maybe it doesn't make sense to her?"

"Maybe," she whispered.

"Don't worry Brooke, she will be fine."

"She's my little girl, I'm meant to worry" she whispered.

"I know." He told her.

Meanwhile, Peter was finishing up cleaning the glasses at the bar in his workplace, after the manager had called closing and he watched as the remaining stragglers were getting ready to leave.

"Maybe she'll talk to you about it."

At the back of the bar sat a young lady who appeared to be in no hurry to leave just yet, the company she had arrived with having already gone however. She seemed to be waiting for someone else to leave ahead of herself.

Peter looked up and noticed her a few times, trying to get a read on her mind as he finished clearing up. When he had finished and the bar manager was ready to lock up, he grabbed his biker helmet and jacket and headed out of the back to where his bike was parked.

"Doubt it, she might talk to Peter though."

"You're her father, I'm sure if you asked her she might tell you."

There had been a gentleman and some of his friends who she had been waiting to see leave, once they had she waited a couple more minutes before getting to her feet, slinging her bag over her shoulder and walking out into the parking lot towards her car.

Peter was still in the parking lot when she got out there, he was looking through something on her phone,catching up on news etc that he had missed from being in work.

"Nah, you're best friend would probably be able to get it out of her." He told her. "With his mind powers etc."

She headed to her car, giving him a small smile as she passed him.
