Creatures of the Dark

She bit her lip, holding onto him.

Alice managed to use her magic to open a portal to get them home.

Ana kept close to him just in case.

Alice got them back home. "Okay, I think we need to get you upstairs."

She barely managed to nod in agreement.

Stephan lifted her up to carry her and he brought her to their room.

She tangled her fingers into his shirt.

He held her close, before lying her on the bed.

"Don't leave..." she whispered grasping at his hand.

"I'm right here." He promised.

Ana held his hand tightly as her pain grew more and more intense.

Alice helped her to prepare to have the baby, explaining to her everything that was going on.

She wasn't at all ready having thought they still had several more weeks to go yet... but she did what she was told to do, holding tightly to Stephan's hand.

Stephan kept hold of her hand as Alice helped her to deliver the baby, when the baby was born Alice wrapped them in a blanket after cleaning their face and hearing the Tony cry.

By the time the baby arrived, Ana was beyond exhausted.

Stephan kissed her head. "Well done my darling." He told her.

Ana closed her eyes and then opened them. "How are they?"

"He's perfect."

"He?" she whispered groggily, the pain she had been feeling still somewhat evident on her face along with the exhaustion. "A boy? We have a boy?"

Alice nodded. "And he's handsome." SHe told them as she handed them the baby to her, resting him on her chest, before she started to help her deal with the rest.

Ana looked down at the tiny baby on her chest. "He's so small..."

ALice smiled softly and when she was cleaned up, Alice left them alone.

She quietly thanked her, laying exhausted on the bed.

Alice smiled softly as she left, showing her that she needed no thanks.

Stephan gently stroked the baby's head.

"We haven't even come up with a name.." she whispered.
