The Vampire Diaries

Kol put his glass down on the table and reached for another, just starting on it when Rebekah did the same.

Klaus fell a little behind then, having almost dropped his next glass as he picked it up so he only began it a moment after Kol.

(( Should we say the next tray they get will be vervain spiked? That quite a lot of vervain was used too really hurt 'em? ))

She walked to him. "I'll meet you down at the car ok?"

((gotta go))

Jeremy nodded.

Kol soon moved onto his third, grinning slightly as he noticed Rebekah had fallen behind them both.

Abigail got to her feet to go get some more after Klaus picked up the second to last one. A few moments later coming back with another tray and setting it down.

Rebekah took the last drink from the first tray, and Kol was just about to get a drink from the one Abigail had just brought. He'd fallen behind a bit, and was just at the same level as Klaus now.

Klaus put down the glass of the one he'd just been drinking and went to grab another, frowning at the tray being empty before noticing the new one.

"30 seconds," Abigail warned

Kol took a glass and nodded at what Abigail said, starting to drink it.

Klaus done the same.

Kol suddenly dropped his glass, it smashing on the floor. He doubled over and started coughing violently. Rebekah put her glass down on the table and frowned. "Kol what is it?"

Klaus dropped his own glass after a moment, covering his mouth with his hand and coughing violently. The vervain not effecting him as badly because of the whole hybrid thing but still hurting him.

Abigail frowned deeply and reached over, rubbing Kol's back gently and glancing over at the bartender cautiously.

"Nik?!" Tatia shifted Vanessa so she was holding her with just one arm, using her free hand to rub Klaus' back. A horrified expression on her face. "What's going on?!" she looked over to Kol, who had wiped his mouth on the back of his hand, staining it red with blood.

Rebekah used a finger to brush lightly over the drinks that had spilled over the table, pulling her hand back and hissing when her finger was burned. "Vervain." she said through her teeth.

"I think we should go," Klaus grumbled quietly.

"Yeah," Abigail agreed quietly, continuing to rub Kol's back gently.

"Who the hell is spiking the drinks again?!" Kol groaned.

Tatia stood up and pulled Klaus up with her. "Are you okay?" she asked him quietly.

"Not as bad as Kol," Klaus replied simply, "A benefit of being hybrid is that vervain doesn't hurt as much,"

"I don't even know who it was before," Abigail whispered quietly, gently taking his hand and pulling him to his feet. Sliding an arm around him once he was on his feet so he could lean into her if he wanted.

"But you're still hurt....Come on, let's go." Tatia took his hand and lead him out of the Grill.

Rebekah helped Kol along with Abigail as they headed out of the Grill.

"And now we will never know who won," Abigail mused light- heatedly as they left.

"Does that really matter though?" Rebekah rolled her eyes.

"Are you sure you're okay Nik?" Tatia asked quietly, obviously worried.

"No.. I'm trying to lighten the mood." Abigail grumbled quietly, briefly glancing to Kol to see how he was doing, frowning a little bit.

Klaus nodded.

Kol looked pretty close to passing out, leaning heavily on both his sister and Abi.

Tatia frowned, not entirely believing him, though she kept quiet about it.

Klaus held the door open for Tatia, Rebekah, Kol and Abigail silently.

Abigail frowned a bit, asking Rebelah quietly as they entered the house, "To his room or just lay him on the sofa?"

"He wont make it to his room." Rebekah said, quickly dragging Kol to the sofa and dumping him on it. Just before he hit the pillows he passed out, meaning that Rebekah was right and he wouldn't have made it to his room.

Tatia walked inside, frowning at the sight of Kol on the sofa and checking over Klaus one more time with her eyes. She went into the kitchen so that the living room wasn't crowded and sat on the table, gently rocking Vanessa as she started to stir.

"There must of been quite a lot in that drink," Abigail whispered quietly, sitting down on the arm of the sofa and running her fingers through Kol's hair gently. "When I had no clue he was a vampire, the drink was spiked with vervain and he just coughed for a few moments then he was fine."

Klaus followed Tatia into the kitchen silently

Rebekah ran her hand over her brothers face, using two fingers to open one of his eyes briefly. "Totally unresponsive, may as well have daggered him for all the use he's going to be over the next day or so. Whoever laced those drinks knew exactly who they were trying to take down," Rebekah sighed, "I want to know who the hell spiked our drinks."

"I knew something wasn't right," Tatia said quietly as she shifted Vanessa to rest her head on her shoulder, gently rubbing her back. "I could sense that something was going to go wrong, it's why I couldn't relax. I didn't say anything because I didn't want anyone thinking I was just being weird."
