Children of the Gods

Feferi soothed Eridan when they arrived, who's breathing had turned heavier with panic at the sudden change as she muttered a sincere, "Thanks," to Piattro.

"You're welcome." He told her as he pulled his hood up. "Now if I were you, I would stay in my place for a few nights, just so Apollo can't get to you."

"Probably be best. Eridan's staying with me, no matter what. So if his staying means that I can't stick about in your cabin, then I'll face Apollo's wrath to keep Eri here safe enough."

"You can, you can both take my room, the bed is big enough."

"What, you're gonna do the noble thing and sleep on the couch or floor or something?" Feferi muttered. "If it's big enough for me and Eri, there's probably room for you to squeeze on there too. Jesus, its not as if we're mortal enemies or can't you bear my presence?"

"No I don't really sleep in a bed anymore." He shrugged. "And trust me, if I took my shirt off then you qould know why, but I'm not going to do that."

"Your loss then. Might be for the best, Eridan here spooks easy. Are you gonna say 'hi', or 'thank you' baby?" Feferi cooed quietly to Eridan and he cowered into her side, giving a very timid smile to Piattro.

"I don't think I will be." He told her, before he smiled back at the boy and handed her his keys. "I assume you remember where it is, let yourselves in and make yourselves comfortable."

"I hope you realise that I'm going to shove a majority of the stuff in your cupboards and fridge down Eri's throat. I'll pay for it though, when I get the chance. Just want him to get something down and keep it down."

"Don't wanna b-be problem," Eridan mumbled quietly, pressing into Feferi's side. "D-Don't worry Feffy, I'll be f-fine."

"Will you?"

"Y-Yeah..." Eridan didn't sound convinced with his answer himself and Feferi frowned.

"Don't worry about it."

"Good. That settles it. Eridan, you're eating. Don't complain, either."

Eridan cringed, but nodded timidly, though he gave Piattro an almost frightened look, as if scared he'd be punished for agreeing to eat.

"Go ahead." He looked at Feferi. "Watch out for Blaze, he isn't that keen on kids."

"He so much as scares Eri, I'm skinning him and using him as a decorative rug. Eridan's been through enough shit lately, Blaze can just put up with it."

"Just send Blaze to me and your boy should be fine." He looked at the boy then her. "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable, I have a meeting with Zeus and my father."

"He ain't mine. I just look after him because his father was a dick. I can relate, and just wish I could do what what I did to him, to Apollo. Don't care if I get done in for first degree murder, I'll walk into a cell with a fucking smile on my face."

"Trust me, I'm likely to be thrown out of Olympus for what I tried to do to your father."

"Hey, if this place has a policy against abusive fathers like most countries in the world, then maybe he'll get dumped out on his ass instead."

"Hey, you should see the state I left him in. Anyway, go and make yourselves as home."

"Yeah. I'll send Blaze your way if he happens to be around."

"Thank you." He headed towards where he was meant to meet with Zeus, Hades and Appollo.

Later on, Piattro walked into his house with Blaze and Hades. "He can't be serious, Apollo got as good as he got and yet I'm the one getting punished when all I done was take his daughter to the Underworld." He told Hades, obviously pissed off.

"It's not just that, it's the fact that you had sex with her as well. Piattro you know Zeus won't allow you to father any children because of what being my son has done to you." Hades told him.

Feferi was sat on the couch, holding what looked like one of Piattro's shirts to her side. Her arms and his shirt were soaked with blood, and she was staring at the ceiling as she slowly counted, trying to keep herself awake. Eridan was curled up, sleeping in an armchair across the room.

Blaze ran to Feferi, and he nuzled her. "Feferi, what happened?"

Feferi dropped her eyes from the ceiling and grinned shakily at him. There was blood staining her teeth, and before she managed to speak, she coughed some blood up onto her lap. "'pollo. Caught me by surprise, sneaky git...knife and shit..." she trailed off for a moment, staring at something past Blaze before remembering where she was. "Called me a whore and said that I ain't having no bastard's children...fuckin' lil' shit tha' he is...." she started slurring towards the end and gave a weak laugh. "Doub' I was ev'n pregnan'...too soon for that..." She slowly moved the shirt away, showing the large, deep wound in her side that was still bleeding sluggishly. Apollo had been decidedly cruel and snapped the blade off, so the glint of metal was still visible inside the cut.
