Scorpion snorted and just laid down beside Marion.

Marion looked at him and she gently stroked him.

"Please make sure that he comes home." She told Scorpion, before she got up.

She only walked home and she sighed to herself. "What have I done?" She whispered.

After an hour or so, Giovanni walked into his home

By the time he got home, Marion was sitting on hers and Giovanni's bed, just staring at her lap.

"Ready for bed?" He asked as he entered the room, "I am. I'm pooped."

"Not yet, I think I'm just going to go and check on the horses."

"I'm not tired Giovanni." She kept watching her lap.

"Because right now, I'm mentally hitting myself repeatedly with a bat because of what I've done to you."

Giovanni just waved it away, laying down on the bed and putting his head on the pillows.

She stayed sitting there, but after a few minutes, she got up and walked into the living room, stoking the fire as she sat infront of it.

After a while, she moved to lie on the sofa.

The next morning, Marion was outside watching the horses which she had led out into the paddock.

"You never came to bed last night." Giovanni frowned, leaning against the fence beside her.

"I know." She kept watching the horses. "I ended up falling asleep on the sofa."
