Once Upon a Time

Giovanni nodded.

She moved to sit on a bale of hay.

Giovanni sat beside her.

"I love you." She told him simply.

"I love you too... Can you show me how to feed now? My throat hurts loads and now I'm sleepy."

She nodded. "I'll give you something simple, be right back." She disappeared and came back after about 25 minutes a girl following her.

"Ok, so what am I doing here?" The girl asked.

"You have to let him bite you." She nodded to Giovanni.

"You're joking right?" The girl asked.

Marion made the girl look at her. "Take this knife, and cut the base of your neck, then let him drink from it." The way she said it allowed her to control the girl.

Giovanni grimaced a little bit as he watched, shifting his weight uneasily, clearly not very comfortable with this.

The girl done as she asked as Marion walked to Giovanni. "It's ok, you don't have to bite this time." She held a hand out to him. "And next time we can hunt animals if you want."

Giovanni got o his feet quietly, not saying a word.

Marion gently took his hand. "You don't have to do this you know." She told him as she gestured for the girl to walk over to them.

"I do, if I don't I'll die." He replied with a nervous laugh.

"I know." She gently touched the blood that was coming from the cut the girl had made in her neck and she gently put it on his bottom lip. "Just so you can get a taste."

Giovanni licked his lips to taste the blood and grimaced a little bit, "What if I kill her?"

"I'll stop you, you'll be ok Giovanni."

Giovanni just frowned and walked to the girl, muttering a quiet apology before putting his mouth over the girls wound on her neck and drinking her blood. Closing his eyes as he done so.

Marion sat on the bale of hay watching him, breathing a sigh of relief when he startd drinking.

Giovanni seemed to get a little carried away with it, his arm hooking around the girls waist when he felt he was taking away too much blood. Though he didnt stop, just wanting the pain in his throat to go away

"Giovanni stop." Marion moved and managed to pull him away from the girl before he took too much. "Come on, that's it."

"It still hurts," He kind of snapped, moving away from her and going back to drink from the girl.

She rolled her eyes. "Alright then, but you kill her then it's on your head."

Giovanni didn't even seem to hear her, just drinking from the girl. Not really seeming himself in his desperation to make the pain in his throat stop.

Maion watched him and eventually the girl went lifeless and limp in his arms, Giovanni have drained her.

Giovanni just grumbled something in complaint when he couldn't get anymore blood out.

"Giovanni look at me." Marion told him, the minute he left go of the girl and she walked to him.

Giovanni moved his gaze onto her, eyes hard before they softened and he whispered, "My throat still hurts."
