The Queen Is After Me

"You're going to run out of paper at some point," Keagan said softly, watching Fleet who was leaning against a tree, a battered notebook in his hands. Fleet grunted around the pen lid in his mouth, eyes flicking to Keagan's face, annoyance clear in his gaze, before he turned his attention back to the page in front of him, making a delicate flick for the letter he was writing with the pen nib of the dull calligraphy pen he was using.

April groaned when her knife became blunt, jumping down from the low tree branch she was on and walking a little more into the forest. Crouching down when she found a rock to sharpen it on and glancing up at hearing the boys.

((Have you ever watched Sherlock by the way? The BBC version?))

"If not paper, then you'll blunt the pen nib and it won't be very much use to you."

Fleet pressed the pad against his side with an arm, spitting the pen lid into his palm and sticking it back onto the calligraphy pen as he muttered, "When did you become talkative?"

Keagan's mouth snapped shut with a soft click and he fell silent.

April climbed to the lowest tree branch and began sharpening her knife on the rock, muttering something under her breath in complaint about the amount of effort it took.

((Bloody amazing. Cried the last episode though lmao))

"If I wanted your opinion, I would ask for it Keagan. I'm quite happy without any of your input."

Keagan shrugged weakly, hugging himself tightly.

April smirked slightly to herself at hearing the boys, looking over to watch them, though a moment later she swore loudly as he hand slipped and the knife she was sharpening cut the middle of her thumb.

(( Haha. I wasn't brave enough to watch the last episode of Merlin because of what happens ))

((Benedict C.'s voice throughout the series is absolutely gorgeous though. I can't deny that lmao. But John Watson's short monologue at the end 'don't be dead' was awful.))

Fleet paused at hearing April but the continued sorting his pen out carefully, putting it safely in his pocket and tucking the notebook into his jacket. Keagan stayed quiet.

"Pathetic blade." She grumbled quietly, putting the knife back into her pocket and throwing the rock at a tree trunk opposite her as she wiped the blood that dribbled from the cut on her thumb on the top of her jeans leg.

"Now I know I'm not hearing things," Fleet drawled and gave Keagan a look when his brother muttered, "You hear things all the time."

April stood up on the branch, climbing up to the branch just above it and going onto her tip- toes, peeking into a birds nest silently to see if there were any eggs in it.

Jayson managed to calm Ryan down.

Emelia stood beside Jamie quietly.

"It's a different sort of noise, Keagan, honestly. I don't expect you to understand at all." Fleet waved a hand flippantly and Keagan flinched back as he was almost hit in the face. Fleet winced slightly at the near miss, cradling his arm close as he muttered, "Stop broadcasting. I know what the last death looked like. It won't happen to me."

Jamie stayed silent.

April grimaced when a crow that was in the nest went to peck her, roughly she grabbed it by the wings, "No you don't." she grumbled, "I wasn't going to hurt your pathetic nest or eggs or whatever it is, you peck me and I will though."

Emelia glanced to him.

Ryan eventually walked to them, and Jamie slid his arm around her shoulders as he looked at Emilie. "Come on, let's go."

Emelia nodded and headed out.

They left with her and met up with the animals, and headed to the orchard.

Emelia walked alongside them silently.

"I could have touched you then," Keagan said in a faint voice. "Wouldn't that have been awful."

"For goodness sake, stop throwing those godawful images around Keagan, I'm going to hurl I've seen what it does, it's a shame that young girl turned inside out but stop it."

Gently, April let the crow go and watched it fly away before jumping down from the tree and walking over to Keagan and Fleet, "Well, you two are talking rather loudly about something very unpleasant. Mind if you stop?"

"It's a delicate matter," Keagan murmured to himself and Fleet elbowed him, holding his hand out with a wide grin. "I'm Fleet, but with a face that pretty, you can call me whatever the hell you want."

Keagan fell silent, hands shoved in his pockets, shoulders hunched.

"Obviously not as delicate as your making it out to be since your talking about it in public." April replied with a raised eyebrow at Keagan before laughing quietly at Fleet and shaking her head. Shaking his hand and replying, "I'm April."
