Tatia sighed and tucked her head under Klaus'.

Charlotte was watching Falin when Serene had left.

Jeremy searched for Damon.

Leon shook his head, "You don't have to thank me,"

Klaus kissed the top of her head.

"I trust you a little more." Vanessa whispered quietly. "You didn't have to be nice to be like that."

Tatia smiled a little.

Damon was sitting at the beach where he and Falin had spent their first day.

Leon just gave a nod, "You'll see you can trust me eventually,"

Klaus returned the smile.

"Damon, come back to the house. We're binging Falin back," Jeremy told him.

Kaida sighed softly.

"Looks like I'm gonna have to, since I have nobody else now." Vanessa gave a weak laugh, before picking the menu back up again. The nails on one hand were tapping against the table as her hand shook, obviously she was still upset but trying to get her emotions under control.

"I'd have thought something like this would've brought you and Elijah closer together, not him arguing with you..."

"No thanks, im going to stay here for a bit longer."

He kissed her forehead.

"He's Elijah, had he actually been brave enough to turn his emotions on I would of offered him a drink but he was clearly too much of a coward."

Leon watched her with a frown before asking, "What would you like to drink?"

"Don't you want to be there when she wakes up?" Jeremy asked with a deep frown.

Kaida sat on his lap and rested her head on his shoulder.

"Vodka." Vanessa replied honesty, resting her hand against the table, laughing quiet and without humour.

"Poor Kaida, going through that..."

He held her close.

"Nothing can bring her back."

"Yes it can, come on," Jeremy sighed, grabbing his wrist and pulling him to his feet.

Kaida stayed close to him.

"It just bugs me that he turned his emotions off and let her hurt so badly alone. If one of ours died I wouldnt turn them off as much as I'd want to, not if you were keeping yours on. Imagine going through that pain without someone comforting you properly. You'd feel like a burden."

"What should I get you to drink?" He rephrased.

"Coffee please, decaf." Vanessa replied quietly.

"When I saw Astrid laying on the couch... it was the worst thing  I'd ever experienced in my entire life..." Tatia whispered, "I can imagine just how Kaida feels, Elijah was being so selfish not going through it with her."

He sighed and followed him.

He held her close.

"Okay," He whispered before getting to his feet and going to order them both a drink each.

"It makes me mad that he always refused to bring her over, aswell. She was our niece, we had a right to develop a bond with her, our arguments shouldn't if effected it. Mia's probably devestate a because she's been missing Emily too, and now she'll never be able to see her."

Jeremy headed back to the house, "Charlotte? He's here."

Kaida pulled away after a few moments and went to get herself a bloodbag.

Tatia nodded. "I'll take her up to the grave later, to say goodbye properly, Mia deserves that at least."

Vanessa watched him go silently.

Klaus nodded.

Leon came back a moment later with the drinks and gave her hers, sitting down opposite her once again.

"Thank you." Vanessa whispered, taking a quick sip. "Caffeine is apparently bad for babies." she said, almost longingly. "It's like they want you to be exhausted from the moment you find out you're pregnant."

Tatia fell quiet then, running her fingertips up his arm.

Charlotte walked to them. "She is sleeping, I briefed her on what happened."

He watched her go.

Kaida just stayed in the kitchen for a while whilst she drank from the blood bag.

Jeremy nodded, motioning for Damon to go ahead.

"It's better than vodka, though," He replied with a quiet laugh.

Klaus just kissed her cheek gently.

"Hmm." Vanessa hummed in agreement. "I like vodka though, can't wait till I can start drinking it again."

Damon headed downstairs.

"Where did you find him?" Charlotte asked.

Elijah stayed on the stairs.

Leon just laughed a bit and nodded. "I not fussy over what kind of alcohol I have, normally the most expensive is what I prefer."

"On some beach by a tree," Jeremy shrugged. "How was Falin? How was she brought back so quickly anyway? What was the catch?"

Falin was asleep, just curled up on her side with hers knees curled up to her chest. Her arms wrapped around herself.

Kaida stayed where she was.

"But sometimes the cheap and nasty crap can be what you need to get a fast hit..."

"I know." Tatia laughed, snuggling up to him.

"I hate horrible tasting things," He shook his head, "It's the worst ,"

"Good," Klaus smiled, hugging her gently.
