Tatia nodded, moving to stand and leaning over Vanessa so the doctors wouldn't see what she was doing as she gratefully took the bag and took the top off, moving the mask from her face and placing the bag at her lips, squeezing it a little so Vanessa would know what it was. Within a few seconds Vanessa began to drink from it greedily, moving her hands to hold it.

"I think we may need that." Tatia whispered, gently taking the empty bag away from Vanessa's hand and stuffing it down the side.

Falin ripped the top off the other and put it straight into Vanessa's hand, "That's all I brought, sorry," she frowned.

"Why?" Nate asked a little bit grumpily, huffing when Klaus took his seat and put his hands in the small glove things to brush a finger over the babys hand.

Kaida just got to her feet and offered him her hand quietly, "So, how does Stefan do it?" she asked quietly, "How're they helping you?"

"It's okay, they're probably only helping a little anyway. I think she just needs to sleep this - whatever this is - off." Tatia whispered, watching as Vanessa drank greedily from the second one.

"Because she needs to be disturbed as little as possible, and we have limited visiting hours to all those who aren't with the mother. If you come back here next time with Miss Mikaelson then you can stay as long as she does."

"Because you aren't married to Miss Mikaelson then you can't really do anything without her permission. I'm sorry." The nurse said quietly, frowning when Nate's irritated outburst caused Holly to start stirring. "I think it's best if you leave now."

"I have to see her." Vanessa whispered once she'd finished the bag. Still desperately weak, she struggled to sit herself up and started pulling the drips from her arms, ripping the mask from her face and throwing it to the side.

"Ness, baby, calm down." Tatia told her.

"She's my baby I have to see her." Vanessa snapped, shoving away the doctor when he came over and started to discourage her from getting up. She got up anyway and started staggering towards the door. Tatia sighed, and realising she wasn't convincing Vanessa other wise, wrapped one of Vanessa's arms around her shoulder and helped her walk.

Falin instantly jumped to her feet and put Vanessa's other arm around her shoulder to give her even more support. "You'll hurt yourself you know, if you don't rest."

"I have the same rights though, I'm her father." Nate replied bluntly to the nurse, "Or I should have. It isn't fair that I'm treated like a family friend, it's my daughter little and weak and needing rest. Not just Vanessa's!" he whined then, his voice actually shaking. "I'm that child's father."

Klaus just sighed, getting to his feet and glancing out of the room, frowning at what he saw, "Ness is coming now,"

"I don't care. I have to see her." Vanessa shook her head, walking into the room and collapsing in the chair next to her daughters incubator. She looked awe struck at the sight of her, pushing her hand through the glove and gently stroking her baby's face. "Mommy's here now," she whispered, tears dripping from her eyes. "Mommy's here, it's all gonna be fine." she soothed, despite the fact the baby couldn't understand her.

"Miss Mikaelson, you need to be resting, look at the state of you, you'll only worsen your condi-" The nurse started when she saw Vanessa, but was cut off.

"Don't, just don't. I had to see her." Vanessa whispered, throat still too sore to speak at anything above that level.

"I tried to stop her." Tatia said quietly to Klaus, "She wasn't having any of it, I understand though, I was the same with Hope..."

Klaus just sighed as nodded, standing just behind Vanessa and smoothing her hair down gently as he watched her.

Nate watched quietly.

Vanessa presses her forehead against the side of the incubator, simply watching her daughter now.

"I really must insist you leave Mr James." The nurse sighed.

"No, he can stay as much as he wants." Vanessa shook her head. "So can my brother and sister." She added faintly afterwards.

"Can you give us a minute?" Vanessa asked, looking round at her parents, friend and the nurse.

"Just a few minutes," the nurse sighed, before leaving the room.

Tatia nodded. "We'll be just outside sweetheart." She whispered, headin out.

Tatia waited just outside the door as she said, taking Klaus' hand gently.

"We're over, aren't we?" Vanessa asked, slowly looking up at Nate, before dropping her gaze to her daughter again.

"No, but you're right, my paranoia has gotten to me. I thought you were only with me to keep me quiet until the baby came." She whispered, before adding. "Don't worry, I'll get it all sorted so you can come in and see her whenever you want to."
