Cassius smiled weakly in response with a slight shrug and continued watching Cedrick get treated. Every so often his head would start to nod as if he were going to fall sleep but he would catch himself at the last minute.

"As soon as I know Cedrick is okay." Taking in a shirt breath, Cassius moved to hold the bite wound in his arm and dug his thumb in to try and use the pain to stay awake

"Can you honestly look at him and still say he has a chance of making it?" Cassius sounded glum. "Because I can't."

Ria renew her head and gently called: "Papa!" To get her fathers attention, asking him something quietly in Russian and wrinkling her nose and his response before turning back to Cassius. "He's stable.... But he's going to be badly scarred where the wound is. He more than likely has septicaemia but my dad has already given him a shot of antibiotics for that and set him up on an iv to clear it..."

"When have scars ever bothered Cedrick," Cassius mumbled quietly.

"He's got a second. B-But please don't make us leave this time." Despite the fact it must have hurt, Cassius tucked himself up as small as possible, hugging his knees with a breathless grunt of pain. "I don't know if he'll make it if it happens again. Please..."

"You got pissed off and frightened at Cedrick. Said if he couldn't be bothered to control himself, we shouldn't bother being here." Cassius hunched her shoulders.

"Two kids with huge insecurity issues? How else do you think we're going to take it? We were frightened of being sold out, and then Cedrick got caught anyway." Cassius suddenly convulsed, arching over and pressing his wrist to his mouth. When he pulled it away, the blood there was speckled black. "In fact, I don't know why you're helping us. This was just the only place I knew how to get to in a panic."

"It was a fifty-fifty chance you told us to leave or agreed to help." Cassius wiped his mouth again, eyelids drooping. "I couldn't take him to a normal hospital, I couldn't take him anywhere so..." He sighed quietly.

"I didn't know that..." Cassius trailed off absently, just silently breathing, slumped against the wall. He'd either passed out, or simply fallen asleep.

Ria hesitated before leaning over to put some gloves on before grabbing a few more things and beginning to clean him up.

Cassius twitched violently several times during the process, but didn't wake up.

((How long should we skip? And that's good, how's your back and wet thing? And how did your exams go? I think I remember best mentioning you resat a year? I'm stressing about uni atm, I got bad exam grades so I'm scared I won't get any uni offers and they wouldn't let me resit a year))

((I was thinking anywhere between a few hours and maybe a week, until Cedrick's on his feet? And I'm good. Back thing hasn't been amazing and I don't know what you're talking about with the 'wet' thing lol. I got CCC but might be resitting a Chem exam and my Mechanics exam to bring Chem and Maths both to B's. I'm less stressful about Uni because I'm not going to do Veterinary anymore with the results it's expecting.))
