"He told us so deep down he did."

"He told us because he thought we'd be so disgraced we'd let him leave."

Astrid just sighed.

"But first. Adam, he needs to know."

Astrid nodded a bit.

"I think he's upstairs with Ollie..."

"Bring him down here?"

"Just call him down Asa,"

Astrid hesitated and got to her feet, before pausing and whispering, "Best not actually… I'll walk up and get him, in case Adrian heard me calling him down and takes it the wrong way."

Kol nodded.

Astrid headed up the stairs and looked into the room Adam was in, "Need to speak to you Adam, downstairs."

"Yeah in a minute." Adam frowned.

"No, now. It's important."

"It's fine kiddo, we can talk later." Olivia encouraged.

Adam just sighed and nodded before heading out.

"You don't still hate me, do you?" Olivia asked

"I don't know how I feel about you, I'm kind of too emotional to deal with you at the moment Olivia." Astrid mumbled before following Adam down.

Adam headed into the livingroom and grimaced at the atmosphere, "What's wrong?"

"We have to tell you something about Adrian..." Kol said, looking to Astrid to tell the rest.

Adam tensed a bit at that, looking between his parents with a raised eyebrow as he sat himself down.


Astrid seemed a bit panicked when Kol looked at her, "Um…don't quite know how to tell you. Adrian tried to kill himself, Adam."

"What?! Why?! When?!"

"A month or so ago. He tried to overdose vervain. He's been very down lately."

"Why did he do it?"

"He felt invisible, unwanted, lonely, down, depressed... Your mom felt it all exactly, so she can tell you."

"You couldn't of prevented it Adam, mine and your fathers fault, not yours." Astrid shrugged, "Just, thought you needed to know, to be a bit sensitive around him if he snaps at you."

"We're going to try and help him get better the best we can."

Adam just nodded a bit, frowning.

"Just try and be understaning mm? When he snaps at you or pushes you away."

Adam nodded before getting to his feet and heading back up the stairs, knocking on his brothers bedroom door.


Astrid watched him go.
