A few months later Olivia was sat on hers and Adams bed at his grandparents, reading through a travel magazine. She'd been relatively quiet and reserved since her confession to Adam, mostly staying in and turning down nights out a lot.

Adrian was sat at the table, quietly scribbling notes down.

Kali was sat out in the garden of her home, having just spent the morning occupying herself by planting.

Vanessa was sat up in bed at the hospital, flicking through a magazine in tedium.

Adam was sat downstairs, in the kitchen with Tatia. His mobile on speakerphone as he phoned his father. Having grown home sick, especially over the past few weeks.

Tamara was sat down opposite him, writing down her own notes and every so often glancing over at him just to offer him a smile.

Leon entered the room silently and sat himself down next to her, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her cheek.

Tamara just nodded a little bit, "You excited?" she asked.

Adam flinched at his fathers tone, mumbling quietly, "Uh…. Nothing. It doesn't matter, you're obviously still pissed so.…"

"How're you feeling today?" Leon asked.

"Okay, the doctors doing another scan soon. Said if the baby keeps putting on weight like it has been I might be able to go home in a month or so." Vanessa grinned. "And I can find out what it is too..."

"A little. I'll miss you though." Adrian replied, still inclined to flush a little when displaying affection.

"I haven't had an apology for what you said to me and your mother, for the attitude. Yes I'm pissed."

"Because every time I have phoned, if you have answered you've been horrible… when have you given me the chance to apologise. Why do I even miss you, hm? Why do I even bother to phone to say I miss you when you are being so horrible?"

"Yeah…" Tamara whispered gently, her smile fading as she reached over to rest her hand on his, "I'll miss you too… We'll talk over the phone a lot, hm? And I'll visit too, whenever you want me to. Whenever I can."

"That's good," Leon nodded.

"I never wanted to disappoint you, daddy…" Adam whispered when his father hung up, voice breaking.

Astrid wrapped her arms around Kol from behind, kissing his neck softly and then his cheek, "What's wrong, pretty boy? I know that look."

Tamara just gave a small nod, brushing her thumb against his knuckles before whispering, "I have a surprise for you tonight."

Leon nodded, "You can come home, see the kids."

Tatia sighed and wrapped her arms around him, kissing the top of his head. "Go have a nap or something Adam, sleep might make you feel better, I know you haven't had much."

Adrian wrinkled his nose. "What is it?"

Adam shook his head and just put his head in his hands, "He hates me…" he whispered shakily, "They both hate me…. Mum'd convince him to listen if she cared…They both hate me."

Leon nodded in agreement.

Tamara shrugged a bit, leaning across the table to press her lips to his in a deep kiss.

Adrian jumped a little as he usually did at the suddenness of it, though he was kissing her back.

"They don't hate you, they love you... You can't hate your kids. They're just angry. Go sleep Adam, get some rest and you won't feel so down."

She moved a hand to rest on the back of his neck as she undone the top few buttons of his shirt with her other hand, murmuring against his lips, "There is your clue."

"I'm not tired! I want to go home! I want to see how Adrian is, I want to be in my own bed, I want my parents to hug me and tell me they care! I don't want sleep!" Adam hissed.

"No," Leon replied with a shake of his head, "Nothing."

Tatia just sighed. "Olivia's upstairs, maybe she can cheer you up a little? You've both been down I've noticed."

Adrian flushed and pulled away at that.

Adam shook his head, "She's down in the dumps because she said she loves me months ago, and now she won't properly talk to me because back then…. What she said as love 'just knowing'… I wasn't quite there yet, even though I was close so I didn't lie to her and tell her it was returned because I didn't 'just know'. She hasn't spoken to me much since then…"

"It can wait though," She whispered quickly, "If you want… I mean, just say and we can forget I even suggested it I just… yeah."

He nodded.

Malvolio was sat on the sofa in his and Trinity's home, his gaze on the floor. In absolute silence.

Adrian just nodded, before shaking his head and grimacing as he confused himself.

"If it's been months she's probably given up all hope of you saying it back, she's probably waiting for you to call it quits... Why haven't you? If she's been ignoring you."

Vanessa sighed a little and nodded, snuggling into him.

"Because she's still stuck around, even though it's seemed I've unintentionally hurt her, because I can't imagine her not being beside me anymore. Because now I love her, but it's hard to tell her that when she won't talk to me, just like it's hard to apologise to my dad if he never let's me…. No one is letting me do anything."

"Yes or no to later, just say it Adrian." Tamara whispered.

Leon held her close.

Malvolio shook his head and moved his hand away from hers.
