"But you didn't mean to,"  Jeremy replied, "So it doesn't make you an awful person. It wasn't pre- meditated."

"By if I hadn't lost control... Adam I could've hurt Zosia, or you."

"No, but I still did it." Holly whispered. "And I paid the price for it, the most painful experience of my life..."

"I missed you too Asa."

Astrid pressed her lips to his gently.

Jeremy frowned at that before whispering, "So you don't have to feel bad, if you've already suffered for it why prolong the suffering?"

---

"But you didn't."

"That's like saying murderers shouldn't feel bad once they get out of prison."

Kol kissed her back softly.

---

"But I could have, I'm dangerous... I shouldn't be allowed near you two."

Astrid closed her eyes and deepened the kiss slightly, shuffling closer to him.

"I think turning into a wolf and going to prison are completely different things and I imagine what you went through was worse." Jeremy replied with a shrug.

"Don't be silly, your not dangerous… you haven't had an outburst since that, y'know, maybe they're over now?"

"I hope so..."

"You were a hunter, right? How can you not hate me?"

Kol smiled a little.

Astrid smiled back.

---

"So do I," Adam whispered.

---

Jeremy shrugged.

"You must hate my family too..."

"Home?" Kol asked.

---

"And if not? Maybe I should leave until they do, keep you and Zosia safe."

"I should probably go speak to Adam and Olivia first," Astrid whispered quietly.

"No, Ollie, don't be silly. We're fine."

Jeremy just shrugged, "Hate is a strong word."

"I know what they did to you and your family. My grandfather especially."

Kol nodded.

---

"It might be best."

Jeremy grimaced and gave a small shrug, "It's all in the past," he replied simply, "Are you trying to put me off of talking to you or something?"

Astrid got to her feet then and headed up the stairs, knocking on the door of the room Adam and Olivia were in before entering, "Hey you two - three," she greeted.

"Is it working?"

Olivia remained silent, looking down at Zosia.

"I don't blame you Olivia," Astrid told her simply, "Though, it'd be nice if you'd let me be involved with my granddaughter." 

Adam watched silently.

"No,"

"You know I'm not going to sleep with you, right? So if that's why you're talking to me it won't work. I'm scarred, not easy."

"That's Adams decision to make..."

"Not just mine," Adam replied with a shake of his head, "I'm fine with it though."

"My intention isn't to sleep with you," Jeremy replied with a laugh.

"Then what is it?"

---

"I can't really say no then..."

"Yes you can, we both need to agree Ollie," Adam replied quietly.

Astrid frowned deeply.

"To be your friend, I suppose. I don't really have any intention."

"And I'm a friend candidate?"

---

"Well it's not like you'll hurt her so..." Olivia whispered as she passed Zosia over.

"So it seems,"

Astrid smiled brightly and took Zosia from her gently, whispering softly in greeting to the baby, "Hello there,"

"Well they say desperate times..."

Zosia just cooed softly, reaching out.

"She's grown so much from when you first had her," Astrid mused, taking Zosia's hand gently.

Jeremy shook his head.

"You're a long way from mystic falls, you moved out here?"

---

"Mm." Olivia whispered.

Jeremy nodded in confirmation.

Astrid was silent then.

Adam watched.

"Lemme guess, your ex had my uncle drive you away?"

---

Zosia was still cooing softly.
