Trinity couldn't help it but laugh at that. "Not exactly no, I'm being honest. If you say you would be alright I trust that."

"Then I'll tell them no, that I have a family to look after." Henrik whispered quietly in response to that.

"What is he actually doing with those witches?" Nate asked curiously.

---

"I love you too, Adrian," Tamara hummed as she slowly pulled away.

---

Astrid tangled her fingers in his hair gently.

---

"Even though you'd want to do it?"

---

"No idea, I asked and he said I was safer if I didn't know..." Kali shrugged, grabbing her bottle of beer and draining it.

Adrian kissed her forehead.

---

"I screwed up with her, with the twins..."

---

"Well nobody else thinks like you,"

"I'm used to that" she shrugged resting back into the couch.

"Even though I'd want to do it," Henrik replied with a small nod in response to that.

Nate frowned at that, having a few sips of his beer and mumbling, "He didn't even give you any hints? Don't think it's right that he is being so secretive, to be honest, if it's keeping you from seeing him then you should know so you understand."

Tamara kissed his cheek gently in return.

---

"You done your best," Astrid whispered quietly, "It's impossible to get it perfect, right? Can only do your best.. I've screwed up too."

"You should go get some rest Tam."

"My best wasn't good enough Asa."

---

Violet was quiet then.

---

Dakota sighed deeply. "I wouldn't want to keep you from your dreams."

"I've accepted it Nate, he doesn't want me in his life."

Trinity chewed her lip a moment before smiling and asking "How's Kottr?"

((I hope that was the cats name. Lol))

"It sounds like you two used to be awfully close though, it seems to me like he was a young boy who lost his mother and acted out in fear and grief and has now gotten himself mixed up with the wrong crowd and doesn't know how to deal with it so is pushing you away." Nate shrugged.

"You and the girls are my dream." Henrik replied simply.

Tamara frowned and shook her head in the negative, "I don't need any rest, I rested earlier." 

---

"Nor was mine, pretty boy, nor was mine." Astrid replied sadly with a small sigh, pressing her forehead against his and closing her a eyes. A minute or two later whispering, "But what can we do, hm? We've punished ourselves for it for so long now, so, so long and as awful as it sounds that time away from all of the drama really helped me. Maybe you need to holiday now, hm? If not alone then with me.... It does help and things seem stable now, here, not falling apart like it all was before."

"When you were gone and me and mum and dad took turns looking after Kottr, Trin insisted on buying cat milk and treats, constantly, hence why he was fatter then when you last saw him when you got him back. Spoiled him, we did." Malvolio told his sister quietly.

"He's fine, getting old and tired. But he's fine." Violet mumbled.

"I don't need a holiday. I'm fine where I am."

"Well I can't contact him and I don't know how to, if he wants or needs me I've purposely kept the same number and address and job as I did when I last spoke to him so he can contact me." Kali whispered as she downed more alcohol.

"Music is your dream."

---

"You've been working hard tam."

"That's good he was a pleasure to have around the house."

"I still have mountains to do though," Tamara replied with a small shrug, "Resting can wait for a few more hours, otherwise I'll be spending all the time you're off too doing work and I don't want to be doing that. If I get most of it out of the way now I can relax properly, right?"

"Are you sure?" Astrid asked him quietly.

Nate just frowned deeply, watching her.

---

"I have more than one dream." Henrik replied, "Music is an amazing thing, it'll be whereever I go, whatever I do. It's not like I'll ever lose it. You and the girls are my dream, too and you aren't everywhere I go so I have to stay at your side."

"Tam..." Adrian sighed deeply. "You used to tell me to take breaks all if the time."

---

"You're a good friend Nate, thank you." Kali whispered, shifting her head to press her forehead against his.

---

"I'm sure," Kol nodded.

---

"But without music you'll be miserable."

---

Violet just nodded.

"Guess I'm a hypocrite then, hm?" Tamara hummed, "But I don't pass out at the desk, anyway, I normally drag myself into bed so I'm not as awful as you are for working until I drop."

"I've been fine these past few years, haven't I?"  Henrik replied with a small shrug, "Stop being silly, Kota. Without you I'd be miserable."

"Okay,"

"Mm, it's fine." Nate hummed, locking eye contact with her. "I didn't really do anything though."

Trinity didn't know what more to say so stayed quiet.

Adrian just swooped her up in his arms then, carrying her up to their room.

"You've been here for me, listened to me. I haven't felt this taken care of since Leon all those years ago. You don't make me feel like a burden."

Violet looked down at her hands then.

Dakota just sighed deeply.

Trinity looked over at Malvolio hoping he'd have something else they could talk about before it got really awkward for them all.

"That's probably because you aren't a burden, Kali, and whoever has made you feel like that in the past is idiotic and most likely a burden themselves." Nate replied quietly.

Henrik pulled her into his arms silently, "This is well and truly the last one, in all honesty royalty money is dropping and at this rate I'm going to have to get a 'real job' soon, so this'll give us a boast financially again. Get royalties up a little bit." 

---

Tamara sighed and whispered a quiet, "I'm fine, Rian," as she rested her head on his shoulder gently.

Malvolio frowned a little bit at the silence, shaking his head a little bit in the negative in response to Trinity's silent question.

Kali smiled a little at that. "You're amazing Nate."

"I should do something too... I've never really done anything in terms of a job. I feel bad..."

---

"Rest, Tamara."

---

"You've never needed to," He replied with a small shrug, "At the end of the day, it's your choice Kota.. do as you like in terms of job, reckon it's your turn to follow your dream career path to be honest, I've done mine."

Nate laughed a little bit in response to that, "You're drunk, Kali,"

"I'm okay though," She insisted.

She nodded slowly looking around the room a moment. "Do you know what you'll be doing for your birthday, either of you?"

"Never really had a dream. I had to drop out of highschool at fifteen, remember? I haven't got any grades, no talents except hunting. I'm shit at everything."

"No I'm not, I've had two drinks."

---

"Tam, don't argue. I know how long youve been awake." Adrian said as he placed her on their bed.

"You do? I don't - how long?" 

---

"You're a light-weight." Nate teased with a quiet laugh.

---

"You're not shit at everything," Henrik denied with a shake of his head.

---

Malvolio just shook his head before assuring Violet gently, "You're doing great, Viol."

"Twenty two hours."

"No I'm not, if I was drunk I would have done this a lot sooner." Kali whispered before inching her face forward and ever so slightly pressing her lips to his.

"What am I good at that I can use in a job? Nothing. I'm shit."

"Your good at plenty of things, Kota, stop putting yourself down so much. You are amazingly organised, hell you were practically my manager back when I was just starting out. In loads of jobs you need to have a skill like that."

Nate kissed her back, closing his eyes.

---

"Mm.."

"It's not good enough. I don't have career dreams because I'm not good enough for a career. You were the one with the dreams."

"You need sleep Tam."

---

Kali relaxed when he didn't shove her off, snaking a hand into his hair and bringing him closer.
