Henrik just frowned deeply, shaking his head in the negative. Pulling his daughters into his arms with a sigh, "I know a hot chocolate doesn't make up for me being too drunk to register it was your birthday the other day, but can it can be a gift of apology. I am so, so sorry Ellie. So sorry."

"And if you didn't do it in time and got caught in the suns ray and burned to death? Wasn't going to risk that..2

"It's okay daddy... You miss mummy too. You were busy mourning."

"No I haven't! He chose to be with me! He fought for me! You can't compel werewolves so it's all his doing!"

"I'd have been fine."

"It's no excuse, no excuse at all." Henrik whispered quietly.

"You can brainwash him without compulsion! Threaten him, scare him into submission." She replied with a shake of her head.

"Get lost you two." Scott sighed as he wrapped an arm around Kira's waist. "Leave. I'm not putting up with this in my own home."

"Is it so bad he wants to be a father to his children? Why can't you just be an aunt and a grandmother without all this?"

"If they're even his kids. You could've been sleeping around."

"I wasn't. Scott's the father and he knows he is. Besides, I haven't slept with any other werewolves and can't get pregnant naturally with humans so the babies have to be Scott's, not that that's any of your business!"

"I didn't wanna celebrate anyway." Ellie shrugged. "It's okay daddy."

Henrik just shook his head in the negative as he rested his head on top of hers, "I'm still sorry, it still wasn't right."

"And we're suppose to just trust your word? Your just trying to hurt him. He'll be happier if he le-"

"Get lost you two," He growled, "Now."

"We have nowhere to go, we assumed we'd be welcomed here rather than pawned off almost instantly. I'm eight months pregnant Scottie, you can't kick us out."

"It's okay. Fifteen isn't a big birthday anyway..."

"Your both being rude and arrogant. Kira is carrying three babies, my babies. I warned you earlier, your sill carrying on. Never assume things. Leave."

"It is." Henrik whispered, adding, "Any birthday is a big one, you're growing up to fast." After a few moments silence, he mused almost sadly, "Me and your mother were fifteen when we met, y'know? She made me start rebelling against my parents, I started to sneak out to meet her. Make Hope cover for me when me and Kota would go to a concert."

Ellie snuggled into him as she listened.

"They can stay a few days." Kira whispered, feeling a little guilty over Zoes condition. "I just don't want to talk to them." She added before leaving the room.

"I think they need to get lost." Scott mumbled as he trailed after her.

She watched them go before looking to Zoe.

"Knew as soon as I saw her that she was something special, even when I found out what she was. I was far too deep then for my heart to be able to drag itself out of the pit it'd gotten itself into." Henrik whispered, "I used to compel her food and things, tell her cheesey jokes like horses eating thoroughbred and her laughing because of how pathetic it was. Remember when there was vervain in my drink and she freaked out, scared I'd accuse her of putting it in…. She got me my first gig too, never would of gotten big if it wasn't for her…. She was - is - my everything. My dream come true, she made every other dream I had possible and god I miss her Ellie, and I feel awful because she was your mum and I need to be strong for you and your sister and try and cheer you up but I can't stop hurting and I can't think straight and I'm just a pathetic mess and I'm sorry." he ranted, voice shaking near the end.

"Can't throw your pregnant sister out with nowhere to go."

Zoe grimaced.

"You're allowed to miss her too daddy." Ellie whispered once he was finished. "You fit have to pretend you don't for us... Just please don't keep getting drunk. We miss you too, our daddy."

"Can't keep her here when she's insulting you, making me angry. Stressing you out, risking our children." Scott mumbled.

Henrik just let out a small sigh, leaning his head back to look at the ceiling.

"Scott... We can't throw her out."

"At least she didn't throw us out..."

She nodded.

"You're a kid, El, it's okay for you. You have no responsibilities other than to yourself as it should be. But I have you and your sister, I'm suppose to be an adult. I'm anything but an adult, in my mind, which is where I'm going wrong aswell but I'm suppose to support you and your sisters - not be feeling sorry for myself."

"Well then I forgive you daddy; don't blame yourself."

"Mm," He whispered, grabbing the hot chocolate from the side and handing it to her.

Ellie took the drink and sipped it quietly.

"You know I was genuinely under the belief that your mother leaving me like she did before was the worse thing that could happen, thing that would hurt the most when it came to her. I never thought for a minute she'd ever…. Die."

"Nobody did really... Not something you like to think about."

"It happens so often in this family though, people always die. Always. I just…. Thought she never would. Thought I could shelter her from it and keep her safe and it'd never happen."

"It's my fault, she was saving me..."

"No, not your fault. Jordan had you and your sisters, she just wanted to be there and help him. My fault, I should of protected her…."

Ellie shook her head. "Let's stop playing the blame game?"

Henrik was silent then.

Ellie finished her drink before snuggling into her father to sleep.
