Astrid just laughed a bit, humming, "I like you,"

"It sounds silly, but…. You okay, gorgeous?" Sarai asked Christian softly, "Emotionally I know your not but, you were involved in it too, did you get hurt?"

"He promised he'd come back." Violet sobbed. "He promised..."

"Hey kid." Finn greeted softly when he found Malvolio by the beach.

"Things are going to be sky high when we can get married and be together." Tatia grinned.

"I should hope so..." Dex chuckled, looking up at the sky. "We're not sleeping in a bed tonight darling. You okay with that? I have an idea in mind."

"Just a graze. Superficial. Healed because of the blood."

Astrid just raised an eyebrow in question, whispering an almost silent, "You're lucky I trust you,"

Sarai nodded subtly in response to that, whispering a soft, "Okay, I just needed to make sure."

"I know, princess, he promised me too." Alfdis whispered, "But sometimes he can't keep his promises, sometimes things that he can't control stop him. This is one of those times."

Malvolio didn't react, sat down with his knees pulled to his chest as he looked out over the water, body shaking.

Klaus nodded in agreement.

"I'm so glad you're going to be her father, you're the kind of role model she needs. Not Adam." Tatia whispered as she gazed down at her daughter.

"I heard about the boat... I'm sorry kiddo."

"He said he'd never break promises!"

Christian just sighed.

"I'm glad you do... Just don't wear anything expensive or easily ruined...stick with jeans and comfy shoes."

"Don't repress it, if it's not automatic then don't repress it. It's okay if you need to yell or…. I don't know… do anything." Sarai whispered, reaching forward to rest her hand on his shoulder.

"He didn't have a choice with this, Vi, he didn't."

"He promised he'd come back…" Malvolio whispered hoarsely.

Klaus grinned.

Malvolio just shook his head, burying his face in his arms and mumbling, "I'm not ready to look after Mum and Violet…"

Klaus nodded in agreement once again, whispering, "Everything is going to be perfect."

"I'm not doing anything other than talking to you, Christian! You're fucking human, I was just making sure you weren't physically hurt." Sarai hissed, "Traveller, not human but still - you know what I mean."

"Can you tell me what it is?"

Christian just sighed deeply.

Tatia nodded with a grin. "Come by tonight? I'll place Astrid in her crib rather than with me and we can plan everything."

"You'll have help Malvolio. Nobody expects you to do it on your own."

"So now we're going to starve because he's brought back nothing and... He's dead!"

"Mm," Astrid hummed, "Come on, Dex, tell me," she encouraged, kissing his neck gently.

Sarai just swallowed thickly, mumbling, "Do you want a coffee or any kind of drink? Since I'm annoying you, I'll leave the room for a few minutes, get a drink."

"Sure," Klaus smiled.

"Your dad was on the boat with mine, wasn't he? And..and he was the earl so what does that make you now?" Malvolio asked quietly.

"No, no.. We're going to be just fine, Violet, just fine ."

"I have to go feed Astrid, settle her down. I'll see you soon my love." Tatia whispered as she kissed his cheek before putting Astrid back in the basket on top of the clothes and picking it up to walk home.

"No, I'm fine thank you."

"Camping kinda, but no tent. I know a great spot up near the falls..."

Malvolio just lowered his head in respect then.

"We won't, I'll find a way to feed us, to keep us healthy. Don't worry, Violet, don't worry."

Klaus smiled widely as he watched her go.

"That's romantic," Astrid mused with a quiet laugh.

Sarai nodded before getting to her feet, kissing Rhea's forehead and whispering that she'd be back soon before leaving the room.

Finn caught his chin with his fingers and tilted his head up. "Don't do that kiddo. You don't need to."

Later on Tatia was in her hut, having just settled Astrid.

"It's just hiking and sleeping..." Dex laughed.

Christian pulled out one of Rheas bedtime stories and began to read to her.

Sarai lingered in the doorway before sitting down beside Christian and putting a drink that she had gotten him anyway next to his side, sipping at her own as she listened.

Astrid shrugged, "But still.."

Christian carried on reading.

Sarai listened to him as she studied her daughter with a small frown.

"No, it sounds lovely."

"After dinner I'll drop you off back at yours so you can get an overnight bag ready and I'll come pick you back up."

"You can see inside her head right? Project things in there? Why don't you make sure she's having happy dreams?"

Malvolio smiled slightly at that, "Are we?"

Alfdis sighed and just held her close.

Tatia trailed her fingers down his chest as she tilted her neck.

"I want your dad here too, sweetheart," Alfdis whispered, her own voice shaking momentarily then a she kissed the top of Violet's head. "Come with me to find your brother? I'm sure he needs a hug too."

"Why are you being kind?"

Klaus pulled her dress off when he pulled away, though it was only brief before he pinned her against the bed and kissed down to her chest.

Astrid got into the car with a smile.

"They are, their are monarchies in other countries, so Princes are real." Sarai replied light-heartedly, in an attempt to gently tease him. Adding lightly, "You are my Prince, Christian, whether you believe it or not."
