"A small little restaurant round the corner. I thought you'd be sick of your sisters place by now."

Klaus let out a deep sigh as he pressed his lips to hers once again, whispering a soft, "As you wish," before getting to his feet and getting into his clothing.

"I was getting them ready," Alfdis whispered with a small nod, moving to Bjorn's side and stripping him. Glancing over him to see where he was wounded as she took Bjorn's hands and done as Finn had told her. "You're so cold.." She whispered.

Astrid laughed a little bit at that and gave a nod of agreement. "Okay, that sounds nice.."

"She got hurt at home! It isn't safe, not straight away afterwards!"

"She'll be fine with everyone at home to protect her!"

Dex walked with her quietly. "I may have even already picked out your main meal too." He admitted with a slight flush to his cheeks. "I had to order the mains when booking..."

Tatia sighed deeply. "I'll meet you tomorrow morning and we can get things sorted for our wedding."

Finn looked away wen she stripped Bjorn. "I should go..."

Astrid raised her eyebrows at him, "What did you order me? Or do I have to wait for that to be a surprise?" Astrid asked with a quiet laugh.

"Why is she in this position in the first place if your so sure of my family's ability to protect people?! She wouldn't of gotten hurt in the first place, Chris!" Sarai whined.

Alfdis let out a small sigh and nodded, whispering, "Thank you, Finn, for bringing him here for me."

"There was hardly anyone in the house! As long as we make sure there's enough people around to protect her we will be fine!"

Alfdis just tended to Bjorns wounds whilst he dried, wrapping him in the furs when she was done and he was dry. Lifting his hand up so she could kiss his fingertips gently.

"Okay," Klaus replied with a nod, turning to kiss her gently once again with a smile before heading out.

Astrid shook her head a little bit in the negative, "No, I can wait. I'll let you keep one surprise for me, I suppose" she laughed.

Sarai just glanced to Rhea then, studying her.

Dex grinned and wrapped an arm around her waist.

Tatia watched him go with a smile.

Bjorn was sleeping deeply.

"Daddy?!" Violet shrieked as she walked into the room, having been woken up by the noise.

"Sshh, sshh, he's not well." Alfdis whispered, reaching over to pull Violet onto her lap. Whispering in her ear, "I found him near the water, he hasn't woken yet. He is alive though, you haven't lost him, Vi. We haven't lost him. Let him sleep, he probably won't wake tonight, so go and sleep? I'll wake you if he wakes."

Klaus headed back to his home silently.

Astrid leant into him when he done that.

"I want her home too, Chris, but I'm scared.." Sarai whispered shakily, "What if something happens again?"

The next morning Tatia was outside her home with a mournful look on her face. Adam was stood in the doorway holding Astrid in his arms and cooing down at her.

Violet shook her head and moved to lay beside her father.

Dex kissed her head gently.

"It won't..."

"Okay," Alfdis frowned, "Just stay quiet, don't wake him, he needs rest." she whispered. Settling herself down the other side of Bjorn and stroking his cheek with the back of her hand, adding quietly to Violet, "He's cold, cuddle into him even more to make him warmer, get as close as you can."

Klaus had gone to walk to her home, though froze when it came into the distance and he had spotted Adam in the doorway. Shaking his head in the negative and just standing where he was.

Astrid turned her head to catch his lips.

"Go get some water?" Adam told Tatia as he bounced Astrid, kissing his wife deeply and wrapping an arm around her waist.

Tatia pulled away with a nod and grabbed the water biker before heading to the river.

Violet cuddled into her father even more.

"I have faith... Like you do that she'll wake up."

Dex kissed her back deeply.

"Good girl," Alfdis praised gently, offering her daughter a smile before looking to Bjorn once again, Rubbing Bjorns arm nearest her through the furs to warm him. Moving over when Malvolio wandered into the room and took her spot beside Bjorn.

"Dad..." Malvolio whispered, pressing himself into his side. "I thought you said he died.."

"I thought he had," Alfdis whispered.

Klaus waited a few moments before wandering after her, "Tatia, love," he called when they were out of sight and ear shot. "Wait."

"If I trust you that she'll be safe home, will you trust me that she'll wake?" Sarai asked hesitantly, "Can we compromise on that?"

"We're never going to get there if we do this," Astrid chuckled against his lips.

Tatia turned around and burst into tears as soon as she' saw Klaus, running to him and sobbing into his chest.

Violet moved to snuggle against her father under the furs, kissing his cheek. "I love you daddy..."

Dex pulled away teasingly then.

"Just sleep now you two," Alfdis whispered with a frown, "You both need as much rest as your father does."

Klaus wrapped his arms around her tightly and just held her close, smoothing her hair down and kissing the side of her head. "So, we will have to wait a little longer, but we will still marry, one day. I promise you, I promise."

"I wasn't complaining," Astrid told him with a small frown, shaking her head when she noticed he was being a tease.

Alfdis watched them silently before closing her own eyes.

Astrid just laughed.

When she heard Malvolio snore too she wrapped one arm around her family, resting her head beside Bjorns on the furs and kissing the side of his head gently, her own eyes closed as she eventually drifted off.

"Nik how many times have we tried to be together and they just keep breaking us apart?!"

Violet woke the next morning with a yawn and stretched out.

"I love it when you laugh. When we first started seeing eachother your eyes were always sad, you didn't laugh..."

"But a hybrid and a vampire might have saved her. Not a human and a hybrid..."

Alfdis appeared asleep still as she hadn't really moved, her head nearer Bjorns than it originally had been and her eyes were still closed. Though really she was just listening to Bjorns breathing intently, having been awake about an hour.

Malvolio was still fast asleep, snoring loudly.

"They're tests, we can't give up. Keep some hope, love,"

"Mm," Astrid hummed softly as she laced her fingertips with his. "I didn't have much to laugh about."

Sarai just moved her gaze over to him with a sigh.

"I'm glad you feel different now." Dex said as he stopped outside a little Italian restaurant and opened the door for her. Inside all the tables had been moved so there was only one in the middle with a candle flickering in the centre.

"Don't give up Rhea... Don't give up."

"Well they win because I can't cope any longer Nik!"

Violet went to go put her boots on and grab the water bucket.

"Where are you going, sweetheart?" Alfdis asked gently as she blinked her eyes open and glanced her at Violet.

"No, no, sshh.. Don't talk like that. You are strong and brave. You can cope, just hang in there." Klaus soothed, pressing his lips to her forehead, "I love you,"

Astrid entered in silence, smiling brightly as she glanced around and then her gaze locked on the table in the middle. "Wow…"

"She won't…"

"I kinda reserved the whole restaurant..." Dex grinned as he lead her inside and pulled he seat out so she could sit before sitting down himself.

"To get water for when daddy wakes up..."

"I love you too, so much. But this... We're not meant to be together. The gods haven't given us a sign."
