"I'm not going in, not yet, letme hunt first, see if hat helps."

"Want me to go with you then?"

"Marie, I can handle a hunt on my own."

"I know that I was just asking if you wanted some company."

"I know. But really I'm fine, go and be with the others."

"Alright, see you in a bit." She patted his shoulder and went into the room with their family.

He noded.

Marie sat down on the bed beside Elijah.

Elijah looked at her as he held his nephew. "Where's Caleb?"

"He needed to hunt he'll be back in a few minutes."

Elijah raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

Laura was watching them silently.

"I heard what he said."

Marie wrinkled her nose. "He'll be fine."

Laura lifted her head having been focused on her son. "What's going on?"

Elijah looked at Marie, expecting her to say something,

Marie sat beside her sister. "When Caleb comes back you need to talk with him okay?"

She nodded but gave her sister a curious look.

"Just tell her what it's about Marie, because we all know Caleb won't."

"I think he will Elijah."

Elijah just looked at her, which basically said he really wouldn't.

Marie frowned at him.

Laura stared at them both.

Elijah gave his nephew back to Laura as the front door shut an he walked downstairs.

She cradled her son close to her.

Elijah had obviously intercepted his brother because neither of them came back.

Marie carried Angel downstairs.

The two brothers were in the basement, having a heated discussed, though not much of it was actually in a language Marie would use.
