Maisie cooed quietly as she placed with her mothers hair. Babbling quietly.

Hope stopped when they got to the cemetery, moving to crouch as she couldn't bed and wiping leaves from the stone.

"That's good to hear." Kol grinned as he ruffled his hair. "Being cocky might not make people like me but it makes them laugh."

"Ah, I just said I like you," Cole pointed out quietly, "Stop saying no one likes you. When I was growing up grandma never shut up about you so she obviously liked you."

Zacarias just sat down cross-legged next to the stone, pressing his forehead against the edge of it with a sigh. "Our baby.."

"Really?" Astrid asked her daughter with a quiet laugh, "You haven't been to Spain before, have you? It's really warm there, we'll have to make sure you don't get dehydrated, hm, baby?"

Maisie leaned backwards to play wit hher mothers face, cooing happily with a wide toothless grin.

"And now your grandma wants me to drop dead."

Hope moved to sit next to him, shifting a little. "We miss you kiddo." she whispered as she took one of the older teddies from the grave and brought it to her chest. "Not that you'd be a kid anymore. You'd be all grown up, might even have kids of your own..."

Cole frowned deeply and shook his head in the negative, "Not the her I know, the her I know wouldn't want anyone to 'drop dead'." After a minute, he whispered, "You're really hurting over her, aren't you grandpa?"

Astrid just laughed a bit.

"Would still be our baby though.." Zacarias whispered.

"Always. Always will be." Hope nodded in agreement, wiping her eyes.

"I hurt her... I'll never forgive myself for that. I never ensured her hurt and I treated her horrifically. She deserves so much better than me." Kol mumbled.

Maisie grabbed her mothers necklace and tugged.

Cole frowned and moved a little bit closer to him, resting a hand on his shoulder and mumbling, "I'm not excusing it, but... you were ill, so it wasn't entirely your fault. Not her fault either, but not yours. Don't beat yourself up."

"No, no, baby. That's very important." Astrid scalded quietly, taking her daughters hand to try and move it away from the necklace. "Very, very important."

Zacarias just nodded subtly.

Maisie frowned, bottom lip trembling.

"I hurt her before I was ill. Mentally anyway. Didn't rest her how she deserved."

Hope rested her head against him. "We would've had three perfect children..."

"If she was that miserable, she would of left you then and by the way she went on about you, certainly didn't seem like you hurt at all before that." Cole whispered quietly.

"We have three perfect children... we just never got to see this one smile or laugh or do any of the things Tania has done." Zacarias whispered quietly, trembling.

Astrid just sighed softly, wandering over and pulling out a random necklace from the draw, giving that to her to play with. "Here, it doesn't mean as much as the one I'm wearing."

Maisie whined and threw it to the floor, reaching for the one Astrid was wearing.

"I knew she'd never leave. I bloody cheated on her and she didn't leave me. I could've done it in front of her and she wouldn't have left and I wrongfully took advantage of that."

"But we'll always love Sammy as much as we love our other two." Hope mumbled, voice thick.

"Mm, she used the word love alot when she spoke of you, and soulmate. Those were her favourite words, other than the 'he's alive, I know he is, I'd feel it if he wasn't.' speech she gave most days when she visited." Cole mumbled.

Zacarias just nodded in response to that, not saying a word in case he would start to cry.

"Maisie no, no not that."

"I'm glad she's moved on. She deserves better than me and Dex seems like a genuinely nice guy... I'll always wait for her though. Always."

"It's okay to cry, Zac." Hope whispered as she rested a hand on his face. "It's okay to cry, sometimes it feels better when we cry."

Maisie tugged harder then, hard enough to break the clasp at the back and pull it from her mothers neck.

"Maisie, I said no." Astrid hissed, taking the necklace from her and putting it on the side where she couldn't get to it.

Zacarias just shook his head a little bit in the negative, "I'm fine... I'm fine."

Cole sighed deeply and just hugged him.

Maisie began to cry then, smacking against her mother and reaching for the necklace.

"Thanks kiddo." Kol whispered as he hugged him back.

"I know you are, the same to you." Zacarias replied quietly.

"No, Maisie." Astrid sighed, moving her away.

Maisie whimpered then, crying as she tried to reach for it.

"I wouldn't burden you with all of that Cole. Wouldn't be fair to you. I'll be okay soon."

Hope nodded, hesitating before placing the teddy back. "We love you kiddo." she whispered.

Astrid shook her head in the negative, putting Maisie on the bed and beginning to pack.

Zacarias got to his feet after a moment.

Maisie cried even harder when she was place down, screaming and wailing as she grew redder and redder.

"I'm your grandpa, you're supposed to burden me."

"You're going?" Hope frowned, looking up at him.

Astrid just grimaced, though done her best to ignore her.

"I can never spend too long here..." Zacarias whispered.

Hope nodded, hesitating before taking off her necklace and resting it down before picking up the teddy and holding her hand out to Zacarias so he could help her up.

"Ah but look at her." Dex frowned as he bounced Maisie gently, kissing her and smoothing her hair down until she stopped crying and just rested against his shoulder. "I can't not comfort her."

"Feel like I'm carrying bricks in my stomach." Hope mumbled.

"I accept what happened was my fault and nobody elses. That's all I could've done."

"Maybe we should bring you to the hospital, make sure everthing's okay." Zacarias whispered with a deep frown.

"I'm sure it's normal. Midwife said that the baby's turning, that's probably all it is."

"It was Cole. I need to accept it was my fault."

"She's only playing Asa, lighten up." Dex sighed, kissing her cheek. "Are you worried about tomorrow?"
