"Because she's astrid."

"No to what?" Astrid whispered.

"What made her that?" Falin asked quietly.

"I told you the truth! I fucking told you it over and over and over!" Kira hissed, getting up and pacing.

"Don't psychoanalyse me when I'm drunk."

"It wasn't down to you."

"I just want to know what's so fucking amazing about this Astrid woman." Falin replied with a roll of her eyes, "There's nothing behind it, no pysch-o- I can't say it anymore."

Astrid didn't say a word to that, having proven the point she'd been trying to make. Though she had to rest her head on his and close her eyes to prevent tears escaping.

"I know..."

"I just love her. Everything about her."

---

"If my sisters had accused you of the same Id have laughed in theirs faces and trusted you Scott! And I - oh god." Kira groaned as she doubled over.

"Oh don't start crying.

"I'm not." Astrid whispered.

Scott reached over and pulled her to him gently, "Easy..."

"Mm."

Kira whimpered. "Ouch..."

"Mm."

---

Kol just walked with her.

"Don't shake," Astrid whispered, tightening her arms around him a little bit.

Falin walked quietly then too.

---

"Is it the baby?" Scott asked quietly.

Kira nodded sharply. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. It happens all the time - "

"When you get stressed Kira." Tatia whispered, having come to the door when she heard Kira in pain. "You need to relax sweetheart."

Kol wrapped an arm around her when he noticed it was getting cold.

Dex just sighed.

Astrid brushed her fingertips up and down his arm gently. "I love you, Dex, I love you so, so much."

Falin gratefully shrunk into the warmth a little bit, closing her eyes briefly.

Scott just let out a small sigh.

"Come on." Tatia said as she gently eased Kira into bed. "I'll get you a bloodbag and then you can sleep mm? Are you and Scott done talking?"

"Yeah. There's nothing left to say." Kira whispered as she curled into the covers.

Kol gently moved his arms and caught her legs so he was carrying her, noticing how exhausted she was.

"Of course," Scott muttered sarcastically with a roll of his eyes. "You've made your point so now we're done talking. Fine. You don't want to give me the chance to fix it then fine." he grumbled before getting to his feet and leaving.

"Mm…" Falin hummed, resting her head against his shoulder and closing her eyes.

Kira waited until he'd gone before curling in on herself and sobbing heavily.

"I've got you." Kol soothed.

"Who's got you though?" Falin asked tiredly with a chuckle.

Around a week later, against the advice of her parents, Kira was knocking on the door of Siobhàn's and Ciarans house, nervously waiting.

"I don't need anyone sweetheart."

"Mm," Falin hummed in disagreement. Pressing her forehead against his shoulder and blinking her eyes open as she tried to stay awake.

After a few minutes, Ciaran opened the door. Not really reacting to seeing his mother there, raising an eyebrow in question, as if she were anyone else.

"I really, really need a hug from you and Siobhán right now. Please don't turn me away Ciaran. Please." Kira begged, voice shaky. In truth she looked awful, dark circles around heavy eyes, her weight continuing to drop, trembling lightly. "I know I've been an awful mother, but please just give me a chance to fix it, please, I need you and Siobhán and Órla..."

"I won't let anything happen, you can sleep."

Ciaran turned and headed into the house in silence, though he left the door wide open so she could come inside. Sitting himself down on the sofa in the livingroom.

"Your drunk too…. Might fall over or something."

"I didn't have that much."

---

Kira stepped inside and closed the door behind her, walking inside and sitting beside him. "Please don't push me away." She whispered before wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.

Ciaran just let out a deep sigh, not pushing her away but not making any effort to hug her bac either other than leaning into her slightly.

"Mm, you did."

"My little boy, my Ciaran." Kira whispered as she held him close. "Always the first one to come into my bed on a night and cuddle me, always. Always the first to ask if you could help, and usually only one that ever just tell me they loved me for no reason, just because you could. I love you so much Ciaran. Please let me make it up to you, I know you've needed more than me and I'm so sorry but I want to make it up to you, I hate we're not as close as we use to be, please..."

"I can tolerate it."

"We aren't close anymore because you kicked me out of my home, mum." Ciaran replied quietly with a deep sigh.

"Mm, I suppose."

"I know and I'm so so sorry, please forgive me Ciaran. It was one of the worst mistakes I've made. Please forgive me."

"Which house is yours?"

"The ugly pale yellow one…" She slurred. "On the corner."

---

"I'd forgive you if it hadn't of giving me fucking issues. But it has, it isn't a; 'I'm sorry' 'Your forgiven' kind of situation. It's fucking deeper than that."

Kol nodded rs and walked to it, nudging the door open.
