"Not much did happen really...After I left here I traveled back to my mother's palace, it was meant to be abandoned...Far from it..." He told her the story and it turned out the witches had found him, and performed all sorts of spells on him leaving him a broken wreck and then they got into his head and started to mess with him, though it was obvious that it caused him pain, it worked and they took out what was making him feel like he had towards his family.

Laura was on the verge of tears as she listened silently lowering herself to sit on her knees in front of him to lay her head on his knee. "I'm sorry...so so sorry..."

He gently lay his son on the floor beside him and he pulled her onto his lap. "You have nothing to be orry for."

"Y-yes I do..." She whimpered curling up on his lap and burying herself against him. "I didn't follow you..."

"I didn't want you too."

"You called me Cal...you were so scared..." She whispered sniffling.

"I know...But I needed to hear your voice."

"I wanted to come to you..."

"I know, and Elijah stopped you like I asked."

Laura dropped her gaze.

He kissed herforehead.

She sighed softly.

"I never help you when you need me..."

"Because I don't want you hurt, especiall now that we have Stefan."

"I'm not little Cal I could protect myself. You needed me..."

"And what about Stefan?" He asked her. "What would have happened to him if neither of us came back?"

"We would've came back Cal."

"And if we didn't?"

"We would've."

He sighed.

And she frowned.

He kissed the top of her head.

She leaned against him.

He held her close.
