He quickly stifled a laugh opening the door more for Areli. "Thanks..." He told the women taking the lease from her.

Amber gently held his hand. "I'm sure you always do what's most important. You won't lose anyone else now."

"That is not a cat," the woman declared and promptly walked away.

Areli first tried to get further into the room and then decided to wind herself around Ian, tangling him in the leash.

"I'm just uncomfortable with making choices and having them made for me. I'd rather everything went smoothly."

The moment he closed the door he busted up laughing. "Technically she's a cat." He laughed even as he was wound up in the lease and stumbled caught off guard landing on the floor.

"Sadly life is mostly about making choices."

"She reacted better than others that have seen Areli." Paige walked over to unclip Areli from the lead, Areli bounding across the room and Paige started to carefully untangle Ian.

Leonidas just nodded quietly, stroking Hester's head gently.

Ian chuckled laying there on the floor. "Ah she's just a large kitten really."

She smiled softly watching them both ordering a nice pot of tea and some a small plate of breakfast for herself. "Does Hester need anything?"

Areli csme charging back over and promptly decided to drop herself to spread out her body on top of Ian, purring loudly. Paige gave a fond smile with a quiet huff.

"No...he only eats twice a month."

Amber smiled gently. "Really is that all?"

Ian made a quiet noise when Areli plopped down on top of him but that didn't stop him from rubbing the spot between her ears. "So what do you want to do today?" He looked towards Paige as he spoke.

"Snakes don't often eat because of how long it takes them to digest and swallow food. I like to think it's because they're secretly a bit lazy."

"I don't mind. If we go out, Areli will have to go in the C-A-G-E. Don't say the word. She freaks out."

Areli made a pleased groan and dropped her chin to rest on his chest by his collarbone so her whiskers tickled his face.

This made her giggle and she reached out to stroke Hester's head with a finger. "That's alright I'm sure he gets enough of whatever he eats."

"Mm can't say I blame her for that." He laughed letting his head fall back against the floor. "I think once we're back at my place we'll have to see what we can do about that."

"Its rather stomach churning until you get used to it, watching them eat."

"She only needs it because when she's trapped inside she tears up the furniture. Otherwise, I'd let her be loose. There are just some places I can't take her." Paige quietly yawned into her hand.

"Mm...well we'll see what we can do for her." He nodded smirking at Paige. "Tired?"

"I suppose it can be that way with most species."

"Mm, tranqs take some time to completely flush." She stretched, almost fluidly and rubbed at her eye with the heel of her palm.

"Mm, except most don't swallow their food whole. I won't regale you with the noises one expects when the pressure crusslhe their preys body."

"Go rest then. Things are calmer now." He assured her from his place still on the floor.

Amber made a face wrinkling her nose. "It doesn't sound all that appealing I must admit but what's needed for survival can't be helped."

"Are you sure?" Paige seemed reluctant, eyes darting between him and the door, mouth pulled down in a grimace.

"It takes them time to digest as well, which is why they don't hunt often." Leonidas rest his hand on the table and let Hester lazily make his way onto the wood, tongue tasting the air.

"Yeah, if it makes you feel better I'll come lay beside you?" He offered looking up at her from the floor.

She nodded her head. She knew enough about snakes to not be afraid but she didn't know all that much.

((Hey, Beth wanna play out Hady and Byron's breakup/divorce thingy or um have them fighting or something... or make-up someone new for them both and say the divorce was official and they're trying again?))

(( Did we decide that they were divorcing? I don't remember a thing >.< ))

((Well Byron wanted the divorce I think...he kinda isn't doing good with Hady...and she was upset cause he hardly talks to her or wants to do anything with her.))

(( I thought they'd gotten to the point where he was beginning to open up. The problem is with this one that I have literally forgotten everything, how to RP my own characters and all )))
