"I know."

"You should."

He smiled. "Well I do."

Hermione smiled pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Good."

He kissed her cheek in return.

She smiled letting him be so he could finish his work.

He watched her, before he finished his report and he walked over to the window where an owl was sitting, fast asleep, but at the gentle stroke Draco gave to its chest, it squawked awake and Draco handed the letter to it, before opening the window and letting it fly off.

She tilted her head at that not even having noticed the owl like she normally would've.

"What?" He asked.

"Is that your owl?"

"Yeah."

"I didn't realize you still had one." She laughed softly walking over to him.

"Yeah, he stays with my mother during the time that I'm not here, but then stays with me when I am."

Hermione nodded at that. "That explains it."

He smiled. "Don't worry the Basilisk is still with my mother." He told her.

She tilted her head at him. "What makes you think I'm worried?"

"Everyone else is." He told her as he used his wand to tidy up his desk.

"I'm not. Sure the first time I saw her I was but she wasn't so bad."

"Yeah she's not like the one that Harry faced."

Hermione cringed at the reminder of that one.

Draco hadn't noticed as he was now reading the letter that had been sent back with his owl who was now cleaning his wings on his perch.

She made her way to the owl holding her hand out to it.

The owl looked at her with a tilt of its head before it held its head out to her hand.

She smiled gently stroking the feathers on its head.
