Us and Them

She nodded and getting up got herself dressed for the day and quickly fixed her hair.

Esmerelda was waiting downstairs and playing with Daniel.

Jaylin made her way downstairs slipping on a jacket as she made her way over. "Ready."

She nodded, before she lay Daniel in his bassinett as Hunter appeared. "Gavin and Lucy will be back soon, are you going to be okay?"

"I'll be fine." He told her. "Go and have fun."

She smiled at Daniel giving him a little tickle on his tummy before walking to Hunter and kissing his cheek. "See you soon."

He kissed her back. "See you soon."

She nodded before heading outside.

Esmerelda went into town with her as they looked around the shop she started a conversation. "So how are you and my brother?"

Jaylin went along. "We're doing well I think."

"I know somethings up." She reminded her. "Hauling you can tell me if something is on your mind you know."

She stopped and looked at her. "What do you mean? Hunter and I are doing just fine, aren't we?"

"You seem different." She shrugged.

"Different? Me? Or him and I?"

"You, you seem more content, more glowy."

"I'm happy. Not as afraid anymore...I really care for you brother."

She smiled. "That's what I hoped to hear." She smiled.

Jaylin nodded laughing quietly. "Which part?"

"All of it."

She nodded. "Well I always knew how I felt about him it was just figuring out he felt about me."

She smiled. "He cares for you very much."

"I know he does now."

"he always has."

"Yes he's told me so but then it was for a child. He saw me as a little girl that needed his help."

"Well just to put things into perspective, it's been nearly three years since you two last found each other."

She blinked at her. "Yes I know. His love has changed."
